Blimey Ozzy.....you must have read the extortionate rate here on the forum before you went out!

I had turkish bread made up with salad, cheese and meat in June to take to Dalaman airport with us, and frozen bottles of water. No way will I part with hard earned money for a McD at £20!

Got back from Spain a couple of days ago and it seems like other airports are jumping on the bandwagon bought 2 small bottles of pepsi £3.50 each the girls in front got 2 small cheese on what could only be called the bottom half of a baguette toasted and 2 cans of pop £18 just a joke.

Most UK banks are now opening branches in Dalaman Airport offering mortgages to anyone who fancies a bite to eat.

i knew a drug smuggler who had £20,000 in his hand luggage and when questioned by Turkish Authorities his explnationtion was he fancied a burger and chips at the Airport,he was charged and convicted under the likelyhood that you could not get these with such a small amount of money

I was there three weeks ago. £8.00 for two coffees and a small bottle of water. Disgraceful!! I travel alot and Dalaman is without doubt one of the most expensive airports in the world. How they can really justify the prices god knows. A Litre of water on the beach area of Icmeler is about 1.5 YTL. 22YTL for a Big Mac Meal that's £11.00 3 times the price in a London Macdonalds. My guess is it is to pay for the new terminal building.

VIP lounge was not value for money either. Manky food that has been sitting around for ages, infact all the food looked like it had been sitting there for ages. Only good for the soft drinks, but how many of them can you drink considering your about to go on a 4.15 hour flight you'd be peeing for england and turkey put together :D . The seats weren't even comfy.

Got to admit Dalaman airport is absolutely scandalous regards food and drink .When you hear that a wage can be £20 a week for lots of full time workers its like being charged £200 for a couple of burgers and coffees at Manchester airport .
