First visit to Icmeler... Help!

Postby happydodo » 09 Sep 2008 13:45

I'm going to Icmeler with my family in a month but I'm afraid I don't know much about it. My mum wants to go to Ephesus, would that be possible as a day trip? How far away is it? How much would the journey cost? When would be the latest we could visit Ephesus? How much would it cost to visit? My brother wants to see the tombs in the rocks, I'm sorry I don't know where that is though, is it Dalyan? How far away from Icmeler is that? How much would that cost? Any help or information would be great! Any other places you'd recommend visiting?

Hi Happydodo
The obvious here is to contact ICR about any trips, but I have to say it is getting late in the season for big excursions, these places you mention arnt 5 mins away
Turkey is a big country and a lot of places you see in magazenes etc are hours away and require a lot of organization. Ephesus itself is a good 4hrs drive and the tours usualy include Pamukkale and involves an overnight stop so that you can get the full experiance of these wonderfull places, Dalyan is only an hour or so.
No doubt ICR will come back on this if you ask them.

Thank you for the replies. I thought it might be a bit difficult to go to Ephesus in a day, especially in October... I'm just trying to keep all my family happy! I really hope this holiday won't turn into a disaster!

Could't possibly be a disaster you are going to one of the loveliest holiday destinations on the planet :) I hope you and your family have lovely time. I'm going over on 10 Oct for a week. Had 2 weeks in Icmeler in August and I know everyone who goes wants to return. I'm sure you will all have a ball.

Hi Happydodo
As Sunluvr says it cant possably be a disaster.
Although you wont be able to do all you want to do. in the time you have here, and indeed the time of the season.
Treat this holiday as a "Recci", and sus out what you can plan and look forward to in the future,
I think you will have just a good a time, planning your "next" holiday here.
