on the main road into icmeler if you carry on straight past the school instead of turning near tansas then you will come to a litte road on the right hand side just before de ja vu! the urt apartments are just up there - not far at all really

We stayed there it was a farly easy walk. Took about 10-15 mins walk to beach depends how fast you walk.

i mentioned another apartments to someone near where the kurt apartments are and they moaned that it was too far away! its not like they are unable to walk, they dont have problems they were just lazy! they said it was too far out from everything - i was thought these people dont know what walking is if thats too far!

I think the apartments in that area are ideally located. You have the things you need ie a few bars, and restraunts, supermarkets. It is nice and quiet at night, but not to far out. I actually enjoy the walk. For me I wouldn't like to walk out of my apartments or hotel and be on the main street.

There have been a few grumbles about them. But for me I enjoyed my 16 night stay there. They were very clean, the maid came in every single day, and even washed the dishes in the sink if there were any left. They were also very nice people.

The pool is nice and clean with plenty of sunbeds for everyone.

The only grumble I had was the Kurt Familly, his son is abit misserable as is his wife. But the daughter is nice, and so is the barman and security guard. If they try and ask you to buy anything you don't want, a polite but stern no thankyou, and you will be fine.

I will def stay there again.

Hi Jackie,
You'll not need a taxi, only takes about 10 - 15 minutes stroll to get there from canal area. We were right next door to the Kurt in August - stayed at the Celik and didn't ever feel the need to get a taxi back from anywhere in icmeler including old village or beach area.

Cheers John

I'd agree with John G in saying that it's close enough to walk to the centre, but if you do want a taxi from the ranks near the atms, it was 7TL, from the harbour it's 10TL

it's a good idea to either 1) get a price before you set off or 2) insist they put the meter on - we got a couple of late night taxis back and they tried to sting us!!
