Postby bob.s » 29 Aug 2008 14:54

I have just changed some cash here in UK before I go over there next Tuesday. I got 2.050 TL > £ how is it doing in resort. Has anyone recently this week returned or know what the rates are like. Cheers

With you Eddie, fly out the 12th, could do with it rising alot more but not much chance of it getting to 2.50 which i got last year. 2.25/2.30 would be nice :)

This is whats putting me off for next year the exchange rate. It was our first time this August to icmeler and we was getting 2.15, I got 2.31 at post office before we went but I only bought a bit, I changed the rest as travs at the supermarkets. But this is money so with the way it is at the moment with the pound it's always going to be a gamble. If I can get say 2.28 or above in February I'll gamble and get it back here at home.

Just back from Icmeler. I used the currency exchange shop in the square once to change some travellers cheques. He gave a very poor rate of below 2.00 mainly due to commission. I then used a local shop near to the Avlu 4 Apartment and he gave me 2.1 with no charges.
