Taking pushchirs

Postby theblues » 19 Aug 2008 09:43

Taking 2 pushchairs as grandkids are coming with us baby and a toddler do they weigh pushchairs and use it as part of your luggage allowance and are you allowed to keep themwith you until you board and are they available when you get off or do you have to wait for them with your luggage. Not had to do pushchairs before so any advice appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Tracey

Hi Tracey, pushchairs are not weighed and you will be able to keep them until you board the plane.

You will have to wait for your pushchair while you are waiting to collect your luggage.

tracy
that's only if you check them in with your luggage
if you take them with you to the gate, they should be waiting for you when you get off - see what Donna's said above

Pushchairs

Postby TC » 21 Aug 2008 08:56

We have been to Icmeler many many times before but went last September with our twin girls, who were only 11 weeks at the time. Although we had the buggy until departure, we had to wait until luggage collection to have it returned. This happened in May when we went to. Might depend on which airline. We travelled with Onur Air.

Enjoy the holiday what ever happens.

buggies

Postby taz » 21 Aug 2008 20:04

When we travelled over in April, i kept my buggie right until we boarded the plane and never got it back until at luggage carousel. That was with Onur Air but know of a few people who have travelled with various other airlines and it was the same.

Flew to Bodrum in June, my daughter kept my grandaughters pushchair with her till boarding. The pushchair was waiting on the tarmac when we left the plane as was all the other buggies. When she flew back to Birmingham she had to wait for it to come with the rest of the luggage at the carousel. A real pain at 6 in the morning after being up all night an hour and half delay with a four month in your arms,,,
