Night in Armutulan

Postby reesy1959 » 12 Aug 2008 21:56

Before finding Icmeler, we used to holiday in Marmaris, but never ventured to Armutulan once, except when we were on the Tour Operator bus dropping people off on the way to Marmaris.

We have been thinking of having 1 night in Armutulan, just for a change when we return to Icmeler in October, but I know the buses from Marmaris are blue for Armutulan. Would I need to get an Orange bus to Marmaris, then a blue bus from Marmaris to Armutulan?

Also can anyone let me know what time the last bus would be back to Icmeler? Also any suggestions for places to go for a good night in Armutulan would be really great if anyone knows.

I stayed in Armutalan for 6 weeks in the Winter.
To go to the area i stayed in you would need bus 2.My friend's Mum lives up that way and she says there is some good bars around there.Around the bakery area is were she goes which is just near Club Antique Palace Hotel.
The Armutalan dolmus is 1.25 YTL and i think the last bus to Icmeler is about 1 in the morning but i'm not 100% sure.

Yeah you would get the orange bus to the big tansas in marmaris and then from there you can get a no 2 or no 4 bus depending on where you want to go. If you want to be in the centre of armutalan where the mini bus station is and more of a village square take the the no 4. If you want to be on the road leading up to it near Kervansaray the turkish night place and antique palace as said before its the no 2.

Prob best to have a look and see what bar / restaurant you fancy going to first and then see what bus you need. Sorry dont know any particular places just know how to get there!!

The number 2 bus is the best one to get as the number 4 goes on a small deture of the houses and takes longer and you dont see as many bars that way. Atleast on the number 2 if you see a bar you like you can jump off and go there! I only go to one place in armutalan and thats a hotel coz of friends being there, but i would say any bar should be good really, just look for one with a few people in :P

the last bus back into marmaris is 1 o clock but beware that the last bus to icmeler is 1 o clock from tansas also so make sure you plan the night right so that you get busses on time!

have a good time xx

Thanks for all the reples, I will give it a go this October just to have a change.

Friends of ours stayed in Armutulan a few years back and they said they had great nights there, and only ventured to Marmaris on a few occassions in the evenings.

Will let you all know how the night went.
