icr transfers quick question

was looking to book icr transfers just wanted to know after reading some holiday reviews how long does the transfer take with icr from dalaman to icmeler?do u have to have the dreaded comfort stop and do u have to wait and drop other families off thanks for your help as just wanted to check before booking we have transfers included with thomsons on a coach but didnt fancy this as the past 2 ears it has taken us 3 to 4 hours to get to icmeler thanks for your help

Well I can only speak for us, but I thought the ICR transfer was worth every penny. On our first visit to Icmeler, we didn't know any better and just had the coach transfer from our tour operator, which seemed to take forever going round hotels in Marmaris - thought we were never going to get to Icmeler.
In contrast, on our second visit in June (booked through ICR), we were met at the airport, onto the minibus (the four of us were the only passengers) and straight to Icmeler. On our return to the airport, we picked up a few other passengers but again, straight to the airport, no fuss and a great service. I wouldn't hesitate to do the same again - as I say, it was worth every penny and a vast improvement on the tour operators' coach transfers.

It is obvious that we are not 100% perfect each and everytime in our services however we try our best and we do apologize about the trouble you had faced in the height of the season. If you send me an email with your booking reference and lead name on your booking, I will look into this matter and act on it further.

Thank you so much for the feedback in anycase as this is the only way we can be aware of things and fix our mistakes.

Have to agree what's the point in paying the extra if you're kept waiting or have to do drop offs in Marmaris. We only paid £80 return in June and it was private (not icr).

In regards to Mick's complaints: It was not the height of the season so my bad, travel date was 30 May 2008

We booked the transfer with Icr and I wouldnt recommend it. When we went out of the airport we met the rep and were told we had to wait on the next plane coming in as a couple on that were sharing with us.

The people who shared the transfer with you were on the same plane as you. We have all the flight details handy here, ICR never waits for the next plane in. Only combines transfers for those on the same plane.

Well it wasnt very nice stood in the 'cattle market ' outside the airport, when the other couple eventually arrived all the tour buses off our plane had left so the advantage of getting to Icmeler quickly had been lost.

You were still in Icmeler quicker than any other tour operator bus.

So eventually we got on the old minibus ( virtually no air con and no water ).

Old Minibus in question here is a 2006 Model VW Transporter.

When we got to resort we were dropped off at the wrong appartments, luckliy the minibus was still outside so we eventually got to the right apartments.

Apologise for this incident.

When coming back things were looking up the new mini bus arrived but we had to go round Icmeler and Marmaris picking people up until it was full.
The new minibus in question here is a 2007 Mercedes Sprinter.

When we arrived in Marmaris an irate couple got on who said they had been kept waiting 1.5 hrs and they had a right go at the driver so things were a bit tense on the way back to the airport.

1.5 hrs? People from Marmaris? Pick ups for your return transfers were from Mete, Tuncay and a private villa in icmeler. A total for 10 guests in a 14 seater. So either our driver is making extra transfers without our knowledge or the statement made about Marmaris is not correct at all.

So my conclusion is the transfer isnt worth the money, you pay all that money for what used to be a personal service but icr are now running it like the shuttle buses. It is much better value and more comfortable to take the coach, sure you have to pay for the water and stop for 20 mins on the way but whats the big deal about getting to Icmeler 30 mins quicker. A private taxi is only £30 return dearer than Icr.

I havnt yet done a review of our holiday but from what I am reading lots of other people have had a poor transfer experience with Icr.

This comment is really unnecesarry and this is simply the second time in your post that you are forwarding things about what others said with no chance for us to make a comment as we can not be sure of what you are reading. There are many good experiences just on this page so their's dont count?

PS. while I am having a moan about Icr,the Icr rep didnt turn up for the welcome meeting.

A representative issue is passed on to Sharon, resort supervisor who will clarify the situation for you.

As said in my pervious post, we are happy to fix our mistakes and we are serious in handling complaints like yours.

With reference to your complaint that the rep did not turn up at Tuncay, from my records an appointment was made for the 1st June to be seen by our represenative Craig. From records craig was previously at Rhodes apartments and was running late with the appointments, he telephoned the office for us to ring and advise you and when this was done, we were informed by Mustafa that you had gone out. In the meantime craig when he did go back over to Tuncay left another written message for you, and i believe it was then that you came to the office and paid your balance. I myself came up to Tuncay a few days later to see some other customers and you and i actually spoke , and you mentioned that Craig had not shown for te appointment. I think at that time i apologised to you and i also checked for you your return flight times verbally, and asured you that if there was anything else that you required then please contact me at the office, where we will be happy to assist you.

We apologise if this was not satisfactory for you, and if you had telephoned me as advised i would of come back up to tuncay and sorted out any problems you may of had at the time in resort.

Again please accept our apologises once again
