Icmeler - 2008 <<<- GOOD REVIEW ->>>

Postby louisem123088 » 03 Aug 2008 10:38

Hi,

Just got back from Icmeler on thursday. We were staying at the imperial apartments which were very clean and guess what, we got the best room overlooking the pool wohooo.. The pool was always clean and very cold so woke you up on the morning.

Tried quite a few restraunts all probably good ones like:

BREAKFAST

5 LIRA - CHARLIES - Charlies is just opposite the imperial apartments and just up a bit from the 3 bells. This is the best place for a full english and the staff are great.

3 Bells - Great for a sunday chicken dinner yorkies was huge pices - 18 - 20 lira.

Charlies - Great for all kinds of pasta & pies. Staff wont hassle you untill they bring little turtles up to your table and learn you how to make paper roses.

Geordie Bar - No geordie waiters but the food was nice. This is beside the Lemon Tree right at thetop of the canal.

Lemon Tree - Great meal the two times that we went there. Waiters are really friendly some with funky hairstyles.. haha.

Florida - Great meal - staff really friendly and they even offer you a free glass of wine with your meal and free watermelon afterwards. Beware of the bugs in hot season as they dive bomb you so the staff need to turn the lights down.

Dream Boys - Good meal even if it did take over an hour to come. If you go for a meal there try and get in before the rush. really resonable prices too.

if you are looking to go for a drink then most places have all good entertainment on at 10.00pm their time as the staff all get up to dance.

Korsans is the good place to sit and drink to loud music and also try their cocktails. There very stong but you have to try the Woo Woo there lush.

Had a really good time and would go back again although they do turn the music ff at 12 every night unless you go to Pleasure or Eastenders for foam party's. BTW the foam does not ruin your clothes and it did not hurt my eyes.

All of our meals were based on 2 people and we usualy had pizza/pasta/curry and that was with two drinks. This usally cost 50 lira based on two..

We also went on two trips - Lazy day and the jeep safari.

I have to say that the jeep safari one was the best but take old clothes as you got dirty and soakend.
Dnt go on the lazy day boat hungover otherwise you will spend all time in the toilets. haha.

Great holiday - good for older people over 25+

Great review - have to agree with you about the Lemon Tree and the Korsan - and yes, I can also highly recommend their Woo Woo cocktails! Can't wait to have more in October!
