Quick packing tips

Postby Jozzyd » 01 Aug 2008 21:19

Ok people, we are coming to Icmeler 2 weeks time and house hunting too. Had offer accepted on a house today which is brilliant but have not even started packing yet for 2 adults and 2 kids. What do you think I might forget (promise I won't forget the kids) And (sorry) we are likely to exchange contracts while we are on holiday so what's the best way of keeping in touch? Never been in this position, holiday and a new house at the same time. Any help much appreciated  By the way never again ha ha x

Peli, it's UK, good old west yorkshire. Would rather it was Icmeler though and am certain our budget would have bought a much bigger and better house. I can't work out the exchange rate but am sure we could have bought a big luxury villa ha ha

Enjoy your holiday..all will be well I'm sure

Marjorie, I am doing the opposite, upsizing from a 3 bed semi to a 4 bed Victorian detached. Am sure all will be ok and can't wait for 2 weeks not thinking about it

Hi

I sell houses for one of the biggest builds in the uk the easiest way to do it would be to give your solicitor power of attornery however if you have not recieved the contracts before you go and have not returned them to your solicitor then they wont be able to exchange you will also need to agree a fixed completion date so it can be put in the contracts any other questions please pm me and i will see what i can do to help

Thanks everyone, I can't believe how much people care on this site and will put themselves out to help. From the bottom of my heart thanks and especially to Steve. You must get enough grief in your working day but are prepared to help total strangers. THANKS

That's what our little community is all about - friendship. And you're right there are so many caring people on here who put themselves out for a complete stranger, and all because we have one thing in common - our love of Icmeler!
