I'm sure you'll find them somewhere. There is a guy makes flip slops and sandals to the exact size of your foot.

3 pair for ten pound in every shade, decoration you could wish for. They are in the market, shops and the underground market.

There is a beach bar on the beach (obviously) called Yakamoz I think thats the spelling. There are some little stalls there like the ones on the canal, I noticed it when was haveing lunch in the bar. It's got a sign saying sandals made in 3 hours, there's a little old man sat there making them. You see him measuring peoples feet for them.

Thanks folks for all your answers, wont bother trying to find any over here - wanted something a bit different and I am sure Icmeler has that. Quite fancy the hand made ones! - think we saw the stall last year but was late meeting friends so virtually rang past him before I had time to have a look. Will defo drag the family there this year. thanks everyone.

Flip Flops!

Postby jivebunnie0 » 24 Jul 2008 21:47

I bought a pair of silver toe posts last year when I was there. Got them in one of the shoe shops, so cost me a bit more thank on the stalls. They are not beach quality flip flops, but more of a smart pair if you know what I mean?

The stalls are just beside the Elif Hotel, there is about 7/8 stalls and he is one of them. He has them done within 3 hours and we also will repair any shoes for next to nothing.
