Poor you, what a dreadful start you had to your holiday but it sounds like you didn't let it put you off, despite having to fork out lots more money. Hope you're complaining and trying for some compensation, good luck with it if you do.

I would definately be trying to get compo, if you had to pay £560 to change from an AI to B&B.

What hotel did you move to Blondie? Sounds like an awful start to your holiday but things got better

Pommie why would you want to book a transfer with a company that keeps you waiting at the airport?

Hey everyone, thanks for all your kind comments, I really appreciate it.

I've hit in to the holiday company that we were with - nice four page letter and lots of photos on their desk right now!! Got a big gob and certainly not afraid to complain when it is justified.

Admin PM'd me and asked for the hotel name and has added it to my review, so I'm sure they wont mind me tell you it was Galeria Park - known locally as Galeria hospital!

Please everyone, take heed and never book this dreadful hotel, the main hotel looks not too bad, but the annexe - I've never seen anything like it.

After we got the first day over and done with, we just decided it had ruined enough of our holiday and just enjoy the rest - and that we did!! We love Icmeler so much and it would be such a shame to let it spoil what we think is our little slice of heaven.

So anyone going shortly, have a wonderful time and look forward to reading your reviews!

Thanks again guys.

Hello everyone

Just wanted everyone who gave me their support to know- that despite the bad start to my holiday in July, that's us booked up for next year!!

I took my own advice and was very choosy with my hotel -in fact we are going back to the hotel that we moved to this year as we were so impressed with it.

See, even after a bad experience...you can take the girl out of Icmeler, but you can't take Icmeler out of the girl!!

Happy hols to everyone who's due to go :D

Got to agree with you on that one, and glad to hear your experience hasn't put you off returning to Icmeler again. Hope your next visit will be less eventful - well, less eventful in that way!
