Leeds Bradford Airport

Postby Jozzyd » 27 Jul 2008 19:48

We are flying 9am ish from this airport and have never flown from here before so any info would be appreciated. We usually fly from Manchester but prices were much cheaper from Leeds and about half an hour drive so took the plunge. Bit worried about feeding the 2 little ones, drinks and stuff and flying with Onur (no food) so any tips appreciateds. Last year we ended up with 9 hour delay and were not prepared enough, kids only 2 and 5 and were starving by the time we landed

Only tips I am going to stick to since my last holiday is on the return journey. I left all my toiletries (as most of us do) with the staff at the hotel, then had a 25 hour delay :x with no toiletries

I already have a mini bottle of shampoo, shower gel etc etc in a small toilet bag now (not much weight) that I will keep packed at all times.

Hi Jozzyd
We always try to fly from LBA not just because it is only 10 mins from home but I think it is better than manchester because things seem to move quicker there . They have a cafe/restaurant area where you can get a meal or a snack , they have a couple of bars if you fancy one for the road and the duty free is pretty good with deals on spirits which are cheaper than on the plane , think you might be pleasantly surprised .

We live and learn Fanny, and like I said earlier, not too much weight in the bag. I even have the fold up toothbrush, because we usually throw these away as we leave. I definitely wont be caught again.

It was horrible having to wash your hair with shower gel, which was the only toiletries we had supplied by the hotel.
