Hi deano,

We always stay in Icmeler but visit Turunc on a Monday for the market. Personally Turunc would be a little on the quiet side for us. It is beautiful don't get me wrong, but I found that a day was enough. Friends of ours from Holland booked Turunc for two weeks, but they also found it a little quiet and they were even coming by boat taxi every night to Icmeler.

Hope you have a lovely time. (I'm afraid we are Icmeler lovers through and through) No place like it on earth!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Deano,

We were in Turunc in June for a couple of weeks, and yes it is quite but we enjoyed it very much and would not hesitate to go back we found some loverly restraunts and bars were you can go and chill without shouting at each other, there is a couple of noisy bars if you want them though.
One thing we did notice thought was a price diffrence compaired to Icmeler it was slightly more expensive and you were getting slightly less lira to the pound when you changed your money.
Will just say my self and my other half are 50ish so it depends on what you are looking for from you holiday, if you are looking for dancing waiters, m jackson impersonaters and the like Turunc is not the place for you but if you want chill out it will be right up you street.

Hope this helps

hi deano
can only endorse what helen says its a matter of what you personaly want from you holiday turunc is a lovely scenic bay have to say though( its our personal choice) it is too small and quite for us Icmeler has more choice of everything you could want we do wander over there quite a lot we like very much but we are Icmelerites through and through so are probably biased again what do you want from you holiday you have to ask yourself if that was the only decision you need to make what a life
either way you will enjoy

I love Turunc, love the whole area anyway, but we find it cheaper to stay in Icmeler or (if we have to) Marmaris. Turunc has everything I want from a holiday but on a smaller scale, good shops, restaurants, beautiful views, the only thing that I have against it is that some hotels are on the hillside which is a no for me because of chest problems. I didn't find it too quiet there is still fun there, but its great because there is no hassle at all, most shops, restaurants will just say "good evening" or whatever when you pass and if you go into the shops they don't give you hassle, you can even look in the jewellry shops in peace. If it helps you decide I am 49 my husband is a very young (fitter than me) 74, try it, think you'll
love it unless you want lots or nightlife.

Hi Sue,
Can't recall seeing a Turkish bath in Turunc, but if there's not one there Icmeler is easy enough to get to for one.
