I agree with both Doz and Trish. I think that the loud music should be turned off at 12pm but that soft music that can only be heard in the bar should be played a while longer as some people like to sit and chat.
I work all year and go to bed early every night and I don't think its too much to ask to be able to still enjoy yourself after 12pm for 2 weeks of the year.

I don't want to go to a nightclub as I am past all that but still want to enjoy my holiday. I wouldn't like to disturb anyone , especially those with young children but we always try to book our apartments away from all the noise. There are appts available that are not directly in the middle of all the nightlife.

Having just got back from Icmeler we found the music seemed to be a lot louder this year. I am all in favour that the loud stuff is shut down at 12 and like others have said the younger ones can go to the local night clubs or get a Dolmus to Marmaris.

I sound like an old git don't I? but I would hate Icmeler to be spoiled and go the same way as Marmaris

I must say I like it as it is and hope it doesn't turn into a mini Marmaris. We prefer to stay further back from the centre as when we do go to bed we want to be able to sleep. :)

Reminds me of musical chairs when the music stops everyone who is dancing sit down. Then it starts up again once police have gone.

I personally Dont like Marmaris that much im 19 and love clubland:D I dont think Icmeler/Marmaris is a kids resort anyway? theres very little for kids to do in icmeler accept the pool and beach? i think spains better for Kids i think icmeler is more for 10 years and up and i think people should lighten up we come away abroad to get away from the moaning neighbours about music i tottally understand about respect and that but when someone said "that early in the morning" i dont believe 1 or 2 am is that late you can go to bed at half 2 and be up easily for 8,9,10 without feeling demolished. Besides the point....your there once a year and it should be fun and lively like that but not to far fetched theres 2 nightclubs and if your going for 2 weeks it gets borin after the first 3-4 days you want variety also...im sure most people would agree with me on this and people should stop being so boring lol...sorry to be so straight out but thats just me lol

None of us are being boring, would I complain about my neighbours loud music at home, if it was a rarity then "no", however if it was a regular occurance and it is keeping me or the children awake or generally disturbing our lives then "yes", would I change on holiday, again the answer would be "No", if it was the odd night no issues but every night is a different matter.

I look forward each year to spending two weeks of quality time with my wife and children as I am away from home so much with work, We found Icmeler in 2002 and the relaxed atmosphere was something that we enjoy, hence the reason we go back year after year, to discover a resort where you can go to the beach or stay by the pool, take trips, enjoy good food at many restaurants, listen to music or not and then return to your apartment knowing that the kids will be able to sleep and they will be refreshed for the following days activities is what we were after and we have found it in Icmeler. (Grumpy tired kids are not pleasant and can ruin a holiday which one day you may find out)

There are plenty of resorts elsewhere that play loud music to the early hours, if thats your thing, I don't object to low background music after midnight but I for one would have to find somewhere else if Icmeler became the next Falaraki or Ibiza, both those places have lost out in the end as families no longer go, do I want to go to Spain, "no", it's overpriced, over built and I hate to say it in some resorts full of people who want to get slaughtered every night. I'm not saying anyone on this forum falls into this category but late loud music could turn Icmeler into the same type of resort.

Maybe the answer is to build a bar street away from the apartments in part of the resort but I think that will be too difficult now with very little space left, but there again may be the new building by the new pier could be the answer but until a solution is found I say keep the late night loud music in Marmaris and if that's your thing your only a taxi ride away.

Now looking forward to 18 days of pure relaxtaion starting in 3 weeks time.

If Im allowed to mention bar names in regard to noise the denis kapisi and the other bars on the beach can go on till 1.00 legally and certainly keeps going till 3.00 and later with the music still reasonably loud but controlled so if you want to keep going I suggest you head down there becouse its away from most of the accomadation I sometimes talk to people who dont even know these restruants/bars exist
