Well here goes...been back a week now and it feels like I've never been away.

Another fantastic holiday in Icmeler, don't think I'll ever get fed up of going here. Once again we had planned to do so much but in fact did very little, it was just too hot to do anything other than flop around at the beach or pool so thats exactly what we did.

Stayed at the Golmar Beach (8th time) and everything as before in that
they just can't do enough for you. We arrived at Dalaman around 2.30am and was picked up at the airport in a big Merc, I felt like the Queen all I needed was my subjects to wave to! We went to bed for a few hours then the holiday really started, we hit the beach and the Efes!!

First night we had a meal at Deniz Kapizi which was very nice, then made our way to ICR party at Vince's. Oh what a start to our holiday....it was so nice to put faces to all those names on the forum, especially Tony, Steve, Donna, Diane, Sharon....the list could go on. I'm so glad we made the effort to go. My OH was well plastered by this time, so apologies to
anyone he might have offended. I have got some photos which I will post
later, think I might need Tony's permission to post one in particular - you'll
know which one Tony!!

So the holiday had well and truly started and it just got better as the days
went on. We had some fantastic meals while there and tried out some
restaurants we hadn't been to before, Jimmy Okimo's was particularly
good, as was Florida, Black Sea, Waterfall...the list could go on. But
I think our favourite this year was The Golden Moon, nice relaxed
atmosphere, lovely food and the waiters were very friendly, so if you're
looking for a nice, relaxing meal this is the place to go.

Another highlight was meeting the wonderful Zaza, what a character.

We went out on the hotel boat trip twice and it was lovely, a nice relaxing
day, fantastic bbq lunch and great company. The hotel also took us on
a free trip to Datca where they are building a new complex, the hotel part
isn't built yet but the pool, water chutes and restaurant are all up and
running. Its right on the beach, although the beach isn't really up to much but we were told they are going to do something about it, the scenery around is absolutely beautiful.

The atmosphere in the resort when Turkey were playing football was electric. At the hotel we were all supplied with Turkey tshirts and the staff had various instruments, drums, hooters etc which were banged and blown at every opportunity, absolutely fantastic.

All in all just another great holiday in Icmeler and guess what???...
its only 7 weeks until I go again. My OH can't get time off work so my sister is coming with me, she hasn't been abroad before or even been in a plane, so should be very interesting! But sure she will fall in love with Icmeler too.
