John
I think folk mean.......
check your luggage in and then go in the airport before coming back outside/to the outside cafe
then you can smoke
BUT
don't go through passport control cos you can't smoke once you've gone through there
am sure someone will be along to correct me if am wrong ha ha

Ok John,
We came back a couple of weeks ago and the travel rep did check and you can book in your luggage and go back outside, before you go to passport control, but you have to come back through security to get back into the airport. We were delayed that day and had already gone through passport control and you are not allowed back out after this point. We went into the cip lounge though were you are allowed to smoke. Hope this helps.

Thats spot on john.We did exactly that when we came home on the 9th june.We had a delay of 5 hours so sat outside at the coffee shop where the reps are waiting when you arrive. We asked them to let us know of any updates about our travel home. They were very helpful.Hence we sat out in the cool evening breeze instead of being stuck in departures for 6 hours.

Hi all, when did they stop people smoking in Dalaman, when we were there last September there was a smoking booth by the duty free and you were allowed to smoke upstairs. pj

Below the no smoking signs there are quoting a law that was passed 1st Feb, so I assume it was from then.
