Mags............My husband had the same reservations as yours but I have never seen him laugh so much. They don't take themselves seriously and they tell you at the begining..they are just fellas in frocks. As you probably know this is in Marmaris, and then there is the Stella Show at the Harmony bar in Icmeler.....or would two like shows in one holiday be too much for him???????????

to be honest i didnt like either of the two shows they were ok just i wouldnt go back and if i didnt go in the first place i woudnt have missed much
is it a girl thing that men in womens clothes are funny i think drag shows years ago were the thing but now a bit old hat
however some of the dancers in other bars are really talented for example have anyone seen a better male dancer than samir from the venice with all honesty i have not seen anyone on stage or screen that can match his talent he is good looking fit body to die for and a really nice guy and he works in little icmeler for our pleasure
mabe a new thread best dancer in icmeler should be started

just so you know im 43 married dad of one

My hubby didn't fancy it and didn't enjoy it when we went (last sept), I didn't fancy it but enjoyed it when we went.

It's good and the lads work so hard with their performances and dance routines etc.

Why not get him to try the Stella show first to see if he will like it or not - it's free at the stella show/

There were an elderly couple there when we were there. The womens husband didn't want to go and see a drag show, as he said he didn;t agree with men dressing as women. She booked it anyway and told him they were just going to see a cabaret show singers etc.

The next day he said how much he had enjoyed it and he'd wished he'd done it years ago.

Talk of the Town

I must say that neither me nor my hubby are into drag shows normally, but the Talk of the Town and the Stella show are excellent night outs....

The Talk of the Town was really a good family show, with the occasional risque comment, but certainly nothing to offend.

We'd always avoided the Stella show until May, this year, thinking it could possibly be a bit tacky, but  how wrong. Michael is one of the nicest guys out, and a first class entertainer. We were so impressed we went twice in one week, and no two shows are the same, as he has different people to 'bounce' off. Not so much of a family orientated show, but plenty of adult humour.

We shall certainly be going back.

We loved it, it's good old fashioned humour, not rude or threatening, jivebunnie you hit the nail on the head when you said it's family orientated, we took a bunch of very sceptical teenage boys and girls, when a few of us families went to Marmaris, they all loved it, the show is first class and a lot of hard work goes into the routines, it's a very professional and polished act ! I think we need to appreciate their desire to keep entertainment varied, I love the talents of all the guys who dance in all the bars aswell, they knock spots off people who earn lots of money doing the same here but I do think we need a variation in entertainment. Chicken and chips in a basket and free drink, then marvellous show, (sounds tacky but really isn't )big up for the fellas who do the show it's definately worth a visit. Everybody laughed all night!

Hi all,
Just returned home our 8th time to Icmeler. Went to the talk of the town 2 years ago cant remember how much we paid but must say we did not think much of the show. Nice costumes etc etc but the jokes are so old fashioned we knew the puchlines before they were told.A much better show which is free is the Stella show at the harmony bar in Icmeler a one man show which is on every night of the week which is really funny and lasts 2 hours. Seen this show many times before and cant stop laughing from start to finish. Save your money and use it for something else. Hope this helps.
Carl and Joan.

Chris, exactly! great night thats great to experience, even if it's once. I'm a big believer in variety entertainment , and that Britain has indeed got talent, :D worldwide. I also agree with praise for the guy in Harmony bar, who does a similar act alone, big task with so many costume changes. We had a lovely meal in there followed by a fabulous show.
We love the entertainment from the turkish people too, the'yre true professionals, and you just don't see their talent in our country, imagine going to a bar in England and seeing dancers of their calibre on a regular night? doesn't happen. They're fantastic entertainers and enjoy what they do.

Hence our frequent visits to our favourite place hey?.

Also I will say this again, Bella Baserk is back in Marmaris this year, and is even better than last year. A completely original show with much of his material not done by any other drag artists, because he has such a great creative mind.

He works in Bacchus bar which is part of the Menthap hotel. It is on the beach front. Go onto the beach from the second Mcdonalds, and turn left once at the beach. It's about 3 bars along, can't miss as it had an outdoor stage, and there is an A Board sign outside with a big picture of him on it. He does 6 completely different shows a week, and has many different costumes and puppets.
