still hot though

woah just converted those temps to farenheit [sp] and they are all over 100 bar one
we go in August, so it looks like it'll be hotter than ever at this rate
can't wait - can feel plenty of boat trips coming on though!!

Just looked at the link on previous page....my forecast...totally different to BBC results and looking at the thread on rehydration sachets I know which one I'd put my money on!
26 Jun 2008 10:27
Well it seems you are right to take note of that thread as Chelsea Boy and bryn who are based in Turkey, do a daily weather report on holiday truths and it has been above 40 just lately so hot hot hot.

We have just came back, the weather was amazing x Be careful though, there was two deaths caused by the heat while we were there.

dont forget Fanny the forcast is taken in the shade so once you have converted it add 10
26 Jun 2008 13:06
sorry fanny got it wrong if the forcast says 40 add 10 double it and add 28 = 128 degrees this is the temp in the sun, well thats how i worked it out when i was there
26 Jun 2008 14:24
50 degrees Celsius = 122 degrees Fahrenheit
More about calculator.

Hi Sue, I'd forgotten about the shade business - what i remember though is that it's always warmer than the temps they give
hence the boat trips ha ha - a sea breeze is the only way I can survive in August cos it sounds daft but it's too hot to lie by the pool or at the beach so I either do a boat trip or 14, or walk around
don't worry though I'll do a boat trip for you as well as have a few beers!!
28 Jun 2008 19:18
thanks fanny, i am feeling really depressed now that you are all go to enjoy the sunshine, even my mum and dad are going to Turunc in september for their 50th wedding anniversay whilst i go to Bulgaria where it will be probably raining
28 Jun 2008 20:07
I beleive for the last few years July has been hotter than August
28 Jun 2008 20:37
last august ws the hottest we've ever known it
ended up doing a boat trip almost every day!
