Special memories

Postby polly » 25 Jun 2008 20:05

Has anyone any really special memories of Icmeler.
Maybe a birthday, proposal, wedding :?:
I have been trying to think of anything that stands out, but every minute is special.
Never had a Birthday over there as mine is in March.

My son has just had his 5th birthday in icmeler we arrived on the day of his birthday and the lads got him a cake and blew up balloons and give him a few gifts he loved it. My mam also had her birthday last may and the chef made her a cake with the guys singing happy birthday. Shame my birthday is in april :( Oh yeah stella also sang happy birthday to my son and told the whole resturant that as a baby he did a poo on the beach and tried to hide it! How embarrassing hehe

My husbands birthday is on Sept 1st & we are nearly always in Icmeler on this date but this year we are only there on the 4th.
I would like to go for my birthday but it is late October..
We also celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in Icmeler a few years ago on 27th June but it was much too hot for us.

I planned my 40th birthday out there, we got up early and spent the day in the waterpark, came back and had champagne and strawberries on the balcony, then i got a really bad headache so we had a quiet meal in the holiday, it still was a good day :)

Had our honeymoon there. It was our first time to Turkey and the best holiday we have ever had. They made a real fuss of us champagne, flowers, fruit, cake anything you can think of we were given. I cried going home as we were looked after so well. That is the reason for still going back today our honeymoon was 12 years ago and they have still not changed even if you have no celebrations they still make your holiday special. :P

Special Celebrations

Postby helen2904 » 28 Jun 2008 10:46

Hi Polly.

We celebrated our Silver Wedding in Icmeler last year. Can you think of a better place to have a party. It was the most fantastic evening with about twenty Turkish friends who arrived with Champagne, flowers and gifts etc. My daughter had been secretly organising it from the UK We were tuly made to feel special.

My OH proposed to me in Icmeler in 2004 and we returned for our honeymoon in 2005. This August is our 5th visit and we will be celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary, and as some of you will know, my recovery from a serious illness. Oh and my husband has lost 7 stone! I can't think of another place in the world where I'd rather be. Bring on the Efes! :D l:
