which is the best to take euro traveller cheques or sterling cheques and do they take commission and where can I get the cashed

Hi Dusty
Take sterling travellers cheques.
Don't use the change offices to cash them, use a one of the many mini markets (I use the one under the
ICR office next to the chill bar). You'll get a better exchange rate at a mini market, and they don't charge commission.

Hi Dusty Yes sterling travellers, we used the small shop at the top of the canal 2.38 when we were there two weeks ago, you get a better rate for cash at the exchange offices but not for cheques

if you have a search at the top of the page, there are several threads about the best way to take money - like everything, there's lots to weigh up so hopefully they will help you make your decision
also another consideration is the amount of commission you get charged for buying the TCs over here - can depend on whether it's £s Euro or US Dollars
