This is our first time posting a message and this looks like the right place to find out about Icmeler. Our daughter was lucky enough to go to Icmeler in may with her auntie. We are going in July for our fourth visit and was wondering wether she has to pay the £10 visa charge again. Does anyone know??? cheers rob

Hi red rob.The visa only lasts for 90 days from the day she purchases it and can be used many times but she must be out of Turkey by the 90th day.Hope this helps.

Cheers for that mark. she went on the 16th may so she will be ok as we go 25th july that makes it under 90 days. thanks rob

just a word of warning though........it's your return home date you need to keep an eye on as the visa has to be valid for that too - realise you'll be OK this time, but just for future reference

think there's a thread on here somewhere from Red Rhino [Gene] who got caught out on the way back once - and it cost him well over a tenner to sort things out

Hi just so i'm clear

I arrive in Dalaman 30th Aug - 15th sept I return on 28th sept tp the 5th oct.. Can I use the visa I paid for on 30th Aug? cause I believe thats 36 days then.

I'm glad someone asked about this and i was wondering.. meaning I wasted a tenner last year when I was there for 2 weeks home for a day then back for a week! hehe

As far as i`m aware, as long as you finally leave Turkey WITHIN 90 days you should be fine.
You are in and out of Turkey twice in 37 Days.

The tenner you save on the Visa means you get the first couple of EFES in, when we all arrive at our little Turkish paradise.

It was reported on an Turkish Internet English Newspaper that Turkey authorities are getting tough on expired Visas

British Consulate in Ankara has confirmed the penalties.

Expired between 1 and 15 days following the fine you will need to obtain new Visa's from the Turkish Consulate ouside Turkey before travelling in the UK it is £74.

Expired more than 16 days you will not be able to enter Turkey for 3 months.

Expired for more 3 months you will not be able to enter Turkey for 6 months.

Sorry Fanny you have misunderstood, you pay the fine then your next visa is £74 for your next visit as you need to purchase it before your travel at a Turkish Consulate.
