i work in the NHS, and some are no better there.......staff and customers can be as bad as each other!
a smile and politeness cost nothing....but can mean the world....in difficult situations...

i have been known to stop going in shops due to the miserable unhelpful staff..

the one thing we can say about turkey, in all the places that we have been, the people there have been wonderful....one exception being the man infront of the baron....he is one pain in the bum....

Hi Richard/Karen
there's a rumour that he's turned over a new leaf this year and is rather pleasant

I know what you mean! I worked in retail too and even if I was shattered or couldn't be bothered I always tried and said morning or hello and smiled.. there was like one customer who was always nice back and everyone else looking at you like you've got the plague or something its stupid!!

It one reason I love Turkey, your willing to pay for their service or whatever because they are really nice people - its just the way they are! :D x

ha ha Karen, I must be a softie - won't rule out calling in there if it looks nice
we love Bully's too - first and last meals there for us plus most, if not all of the boat trips while we're there. in fact Volkan just books us on them now without even asking ha ha

last year, volkan had rich's sunglasses when we left to come home....everywhere we went the turkish commented on them, and on the last night, they put flowers on the table, gave us fre drinks and cocktails, it was lovely.....

and when they played the chicken song, i wasnt listening, and my 14 year old was in hysterics, so volkan blootoothed it, and put it on my phone :D

politness costs nothing, with everything to gain.......
