The Wax Treatment

Postby Higgs » 05 Jun 2008 20:24

Hi All,
Looking for advise on hair removal and should I go ahead with waxing?
Let me explain. During the recent good spell of weather I was sunbathing, trying to get a base colour for the upcoming holiday, when my wife advised me to get my shoulders and back waxed. I'm of a certain age were you begin to loose it on top but it seems to spring up everywere else. (Nose, ears, shoulders and back) My wife say's that I have an awful lot of face to wash in the morning.
But joking aside - after a few beers I agreed and she went ahead and booked a visit to our local beautician  The appointment is one week prior to departure to Icmeler and was wondering if this is time enought for recovery, or can you go sunbathing straight after :?: Is it worth it :?: (I don't think so!!!!) Is it painful :?:
Higgs.

Hi Higgs, the wife says don't be such a baby. If women can have thier bikini line waxed then you should be able to have you're back done. :) I reckon you should go the whole hogg and have a back, sack, and crack done.    Oh imagine the pain off that.

I was going to say the same, stop being such a baby haha. Seriously though you're skin will be fine if you're having it done the week before

Grit your teeth man, and don't be such a wuss! Maybe you will enjoy it enough and have your eyebrows threaded as well.

my wife did my shoulders and back a few years ago, everything was ok till she got to the bottom of my back, that was a little painfull. The real problem came later the waxing kit came with some balm to rub on after the waxing process, well i must have been alergic to it because within 10 mins my hol back came out in blisters and was very painfull. I had to go have a shower to get it off.

My back was just like that as well after using the foam stuff which disolves the hairs! I was red raw for about a week!

So I've never tried proper waxing because of it! lol

Why do us men have to be so hairy! :(
