Sue - dont bother with a calculator, either take your fone and use that or at the moment, there are roughly 4 Lira to the £ so just multiply the price by 4 . so if something's 8TL, x 4 is £3.20

John - the only lobster you'll be seeing is Mrs W ha ha
you'll just have to find a nice bar to cool down in - or failing that do plenty of boat trips

whoooops Sue, know what I mean but just cant say it ha ha - that's why they call me special
I'll try again..........£1 divided by 2.41 TL is about 40p, so if you multiply the TL price by four, you get the rough equivelant in £s and pence
does that make more sense??
hope so

yey Sue, just cracked open the Efes and am on a roll now........

round 36.15 Lira up to 40 times it by 4 = £16
48.20 Lira rounded up to 50 times'd by 4 = £20

40 kurush times#d by 4 = 16p

see, I knew my method worked :?
