Hassle - ZaZa

Postby sandybeach » 31 May 2008 16:56

What with so many restaurants being closed for hassle, I am slightly worried that if you stop to speak to the owners of restaurants you know, you may inadvertently get them closed down for a few days. I am seriously thinking of making a card up in case the police show up with words to the effect of,
"I have stopped to speak to my friend, please take no further action".

No one likes to be hassled, but I keep hearing about places being closed down just because the owners are chatting to people that they actually know.

What do you all think?

Hi Sandy

the best way to avoid our friends being closed for hassel is for us to step into the restruants and for us to approch them first that way they will not come out to meet us on the street and they can not be accussed of hassling us we were told this last year by a few of our Turkish friends

Can't believe they are closing them down for hassling. Didn't know they did that. Well I certainly will do what Steve says and step inside the restaurants.

Hi there, is it just a temporary closure or are they literally being closed down?

just temp closures but they seem to have extended the time now, some are lasting as long as 3 weeks.

Absolutely bonkers! We were not that bothered with the "hassle" if you want to call it that because we had so many children with us, they all ate free!

So it did have some advantages.

From what I was told they offer a kind of 3 strikes and your out attitude, for each time they are caught there closure will get slightly longer and if they are caught a third time they will be closed for the remainder of the season.
