Quick question re: walk to Marmaris

Postby Beau » 30 May 2008 16:24

We're planning on doing the walk to Marmaris but speaking with a few people at work today they were saying it's a LONG walk.

Me and Hubby don't mind but don't know if my Mom will manage if it's too long.

So my question is IF she conks out and it's too much for her can we cut through the bars onto a main road and pick up a Dolmus or would we have to continue to Marmaris for the dolmus (or water taxi as we plan to do that back) or walk back to Icmeler ??

2 nights and we'll be there - yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!!!!!

Never done the wlk myself but I know there a few bars/cafes on the way so you can stop for a drink and a rest before carrying on to Marmaris!!

Hiya,
There are plenty of places you can stop off, get a cab or hail a Dolmus. I've done this plenty of times when I've had young children with me.

OMG 4 miles !!!!

I think we'll make a day of it sampling lots of Efes along the way - it's only right to see if they're all as nice as the last bars

You could also stop off at the ice rink, en route....right on the promenade... for a breather.

We are also planning to do the walk this year.

I think there are going to be a lot of drunken hikers around this year.

As long as it's not 45 degrees again this year, I am going to walk this, I will tell the rents I will see them in marmaris as it might be a bit too long for them to walk

Sue thanks for the tip about the water
