Icmeler

26 May 2008 18:27

Hi

My fiance and I are thinking of visting Icmeler in September from Glasgow. We have seen a good deal with ********** but flying with Onur Airlines. I have heard a couple of bad reports of Onur but the price is £550 for the two of us, self catering which I think is good. The apartments are called Ozlem Apart Apartments and I can't find many reports on them and wonder if that's why I am getting it so cheap.

We have never been to Turkey and thought from the forum that Icmeler sounds like what we are looking for over Marmaris. We are both aged 35 and not up to the clubbing days like we used to be!!

All advice would be very much appreciated. Cheers. :?: :D

Hello there

We are also from Glasgow and have been going to Icmeler twice sometimes three times a year for the past 10 years. We used to go to Marmaris but much prefer Icmeler, its so much nicer and so friendly and still has plenty to do and has great restaurants, and also a great beach. I have heard of these apartments but cant think where they are. Why not contact Icmeler on Line direct and let them give you a price. I have gone with Onur Air on numerous occasions and have never had any promlems, in fact I prefer them to the british airlines.

Hope this helps.

Hi

Thanks for your replies, feel a bit more at ease now. Can't wait to book it tomorrow now.

Does anyone know if the weather is still hot in September, we are going the last 2 weeks.

Cheers.

Hi JaxPat

Just back from Icmeler at weekend and flew with Onur from Glasgow for first time, outbound ½hr delay due to airport strike in Amsterdam, on time on return from Dalaman.

As you are probably aware no inflight meals or entertainment but you can take sandwiches on with you or purchase some on the flight. I took portable dvd player which was great for passing the time on the flight. Staff seemed pleasant enough, we had no problems and would use again.

Also September weather should be good been twice at end of September and both time weather was fantastic infact last year it was in the 30's couple of days of rain but didn't spoil the holiday at all.

Happy holiday :)
