Back last night and what a holiday :)

Postby andrea m » 25 May 2008 20:41

Once again had a fantastic holiday to Icmeler, 2 weeks with some fab memories which will last forever.

Flew with Onur Air first time I've used them and have to say no problems ½hr delay going but that was due to a strike in Amsterdam airport so nothing major, on time flying home too, no meals but could take stuff on with you, no entertainment so my portable dvd player was great passed 3hrs of flight.

Arrived in Dalaman and the ususal panic of is my case going to be there, but it was and finally out to get the ICR transfer in the taxi we went and off to our second home again :) Arrived apts at 6am and went straight to bed. Stayed at Demircicglu (spelling???) apts for the second time and on 1st floor this time and room as before basic, clean and had everything you need.

Weather was great, for the 2 weeks apart from a couple of cloudy days and thunderstorm (apparently I missed it as I was sleeping). This was more of a do not a lot holiday and we definately relaxed a lot.

Ate in Vince's, Amigos Paradise, Richards Place, Majestic, Mitos apts (our favourite meal here), Florida, 3 Bells, Chippy (just wanted some good old chips for tea that night) all were really nice but Mitos won. Nice and quiet and relaxed and great food.

At night we were in Vince's, Florida, Mitos, Richards Place (a lot had some great nights in there the lads are fantastic), Svengi (think thats what its called was the Old famous), again this was a good bar, think that was it (didn't venture too much although we have decided to make a list of places we want to go in September to get a bit of variation  oh and had a drink in the Las Vegas and it was a really nice bar again lovely staff.

Met Donna and Tudor again and met couple of other ICR members, which was nice it's liking seeing family once you meet.

Donna was our rep for the ICR Day trip and I have to say this is one trip which will stay in my memory for a long time a fantastic day out, will review this seperate on photo gallery with some pics (once I upload thm) - Donna you will never manage a trip like that again everyone enjoyed it and look forward to seeing what you come up with in September

We also done a boat trip again this was a great trip and for £6 great value for money (we ended up on diff boat but still a great day out). Again met some lovely people on this and have done it a few times now and never get bored.

So all in all we once again had a fantastic holiday and look forward to the next trip in September.

So once again thanks ICR had a great time and no doubt be back for your help next year.

Andrea (and my mum Ann)

PS Only thing disappointing was missing out on the Pirate boat trip gutted, but did manage to see the fortune teller when they managed to get her to Vince's on the Monday night and I have to say worth every single lira both for her and the orphanage :D thanks again

PPS Don't forget to get your prize if you were in the top 50 posters

Hi Andrea,
we were in Richard's place every night last week, so probably saw you without knowing it. I will have a look in the members gallery to see if I recognise you. I posted our pic on Saturday.

Have just found you + your mum's picture, I did see you in there. Pity we didn't know who each other was. I definately had a fantastic time in there, dancing on the bar  (should be better behaved at my age  ). Will post some picture's of the lads.

Sue it was the ICR day trip or should we say ICR Donna's mystery tour trip, I promise to try and get pics and review with it on at weekend ;). Lets just say the driver didn't know where he was going either!

Andrea

One of the most memorable trips I've ever done with great people :)
