:?: Hi Everyone, I've often passed the Love boat and thought it looked very impressive, I've also heared that the food is excellent, but it seemed a little quiet? is this true or do we always pass at a quiet time, or is it just a nice tranquill place to eat good food? :)

Hi K/X,
I have also passed it when a little quiet but I think tranquility is the essence and if you want a romantic meal (even with children in tow)
this is the restaurent to use and as you have heard the meals are great.
Never seem to be harrased at the loveboat everthing is so calm.

We agree

Postby Neets36 » 06 Apr 2005 19:15

Me and my hubby agree ... it really is a nice place to eat, not the cheapest in Icmeler but very worth it - Nick, my hubby looooves the Cheese Risotto .... .. Also, Hamdi who stands on the front is a really nice guy and doesnt hassle you.

Think we'll be going there (again) when we arrive in Icmeler in a few weeks (5 weeks on Monday but who's counting!!!!!)

I agree that the Loveboat is a brilliant restaurant. It's different from many of the others in presentation and variety of food. We stay in the Devamli when we visit Icmeler and Serden has always been the front man as far as we can remember (4 years). Anyone know if he's working there this year?

We've always gone to the Loveboat at least once during our visits, and last time was no exception, but I have to say we thought the standards had slipped a bit this year. The prices had gone up a fair bit, but the food and service wasn't as good as in the past. Might just have been an "off" night, but I'd think twice about paying the extra next time. We had a better meal, and excellent service, in a restaurant on the canal, but I can't remember the name of it.

Yes Serden is there this year and as hospitable as ever.

Was the restaurant you are talking about on the canal, just opposite dream Boys, if so it is Dolce Vita and I agree the food and service is great

Never been to the Loveboat, for some reason i always think its too 'clinical'. The food i have seen looks very nice but have heard that its more expensive than other places. Im a spit and sawdust man myself but may give it a go sometime.

It is a bit more expensive, but we enjoyed what we had. One warning though, the portions were ample for us, but if you are a big eater, I think you might still be hungry.

Funny, that was what my husband said too. Daughter and I both enjoyed our meals, but hubby and son (a.k.a the bottomless pit!) felt the portions weren't big enough for them - so we've not been back since for that reason!

yes serden is there this year
i think that the standards will slip this year as a number of the staff that have been there in previous years for a long time havent returned this year
so there is a lot of new staff in the place which need to be trained to the high standards that the owner expects
how much are the steaks and chicken dishes this year in the loveboat ?
