Scenic walks

Am staying at Grand Aquarium from next Friday (Our first visit to Icmeler, very excited now). We enjoy walking (not Extreme!!). Any recommendations?

Hi Stevemon Just know you will fall in love with Icmeler like the rest of us On Friday you will start your love affair with our little slice of heaven on earth May bump into you we are still there when you arrive. We haven't done the Icmeler to Marmaris walk yet but intend to this time after seeing all the great pictures on this forum of the fantastic views from the cafe del mar (think thats right) enroute. Enjoy

Grand Aquarium's a fair walk to the beach I think, so you could always enjoy a nice leisurely stroll?
also the walk up to the flag's at your end of town

The Grand aquarium is a god 20 mins walk into the centre of icmeler and can be varied each time by following a different road as they all lead to the centre if you head towards the beach/sea you will get there. Once down on the beach as people said the walk to marmaris is really nice along the front, my favourite time for this walk is about 6ish when its cooling off and you will get some lovely views along the way, its s peaceful at this time. You can also follow the road from the Grand Aquarium up into the hills where if you stick to the main road you will get a fabulous view of Icmeler and the bay. It is better to ask your rep or reception for direction so as not to get lost and as i say stick to the main roads but watch out for the jeep safaris on there way back or you may end up getting squirted with a water gun!! I also believe you can take the road up the back to turunc but I am not sure of the exact way it would take a couple of hours though and then you could get the bus or water taxi back, my uncle did it once but too far for me!
