First Morning

Postby redrhino12 » 29 Apr 2008 13:07

Gently opening my eyes I had to squint as the sun pierced the drapes to the windows,
Throwing back the sheet that was covering me I jumped up and pulled wide the curtains, the warmth hit me through the patio doors, sliding open the door I wandered onto the balcony.
Clear blue skies and a lovely warm sun was carresing my skin.
I went back into the room and made myselfe a coffee, then quietly not to wake Ann I went back onto the balcony.
Sitting there in that lovely sunshine I had to smile to myselfe.

I've never been able to put into words that feeling on the first morning, Gene, you've summed it up perfectly.
My second mornings aren't usually so poetic though after a couple of vodka's to celebrate the first night  I adapt after that and feel like pinching myself every day when I realise I'm still there, and it's still beautiful.[/quote]

10 Weeks tomorrow and I will be on the plane - feels like it will never come ):

I always get that 'I'm Home!' feeling when I come around the mountain from the road to Marmaris and see right across Icmeler.
