Hello everyone, I have visited Icmeler for a few years, and just like everybody else on this forum, adore the place, I am going in 3 weeks for 9 days with 2 friends, and September with my husband, , and can't wait. Gene, your photo's and information on Icmeler is fantastic, and Bec, you give a great account of our favourite special place so well, You must be thrilled to be spending the season there.

Big hello to you all, I have enjoyed all your chats so much I just had to join in :D

The post that inspired me to join was about kebabs! from Sue, Bit worrying! (must have a chat to myself about portion control) but hey, they do food so well in Icmeler, I just couldn't resist spreading the news about my favourite ones.

Hi Jula and Marj, Thanks so much for the lovely welcome, I'm supposed to be writing reports for work, but found myself wanting to chat about Icmeler, far more interesting!

I'll keep you posted on my hols, to try to cheer you both up, sorry you're not going this year Marj, and Jula when did you go? you'll have to book again to keep you going. Ive got my husband as hooked as I am on Icmeler after taking my mum 4 years ago, but he can't make it till september. My first job on arrival in 3 weeks is to book our hotel for September, he's even giving me the credit card to do it! Brave man

Jula, it's about 15 mins on the dolmus and they run till about 2am, first time I went to Turkey we stayed in Marmaris, the harbour area is beautiful for meals, and great restaurants in town aswell, and then you can get yourself on the dolmus for visits to icmeler aswell, best of both worlds  Don't be depressed, theres always a next time :D

Hi Trish, welcome to the forum. :)

I was like you, I visited the forum everyday but was never brave enough to join. Don't know why, because everyone is very friendly and helpful. I feel as though I have made loads of new friends, even though I've never met any of them. :D 8) Me and OH are going in 3 weeks as well, 8) :D for the 11th time. People say "why go back to the same place all the time try somewhere different". These people have never been otherwise they would understand. It feels like going home.

Hi Trish,

Welcome to the forum, I am sure you will have a lot to offer us about Icmeler. Look forward to hearing about your hols when you return.

Womble, the underground market is on the same side as Vinces, walk past Barons for a few metres and you will find the entrance.

I think that is the market you are talking about.

Wow what a welcome! thanks so much everybody x

Bec, I like Linekers bar, and have at least first or last, or all drinks there most nights  Also like Diva for a quiet one, and the one opposite dreamboys by the canal who create such a party atmosphere every night, Ive forgotten it's name

I stayed at the Miray hotel first time I went to Icmeler, and popped to Linekers as it was so close, that was it! hooked! Motown is like a magnet to me  Will try more this year, and dream bells is on my list because it sounds so mich fun :D

Will make a real effort to take photo's this visit.
