Ekinci Palace Apts

Postby Jula » 23 Apr 2008 14:00

Hello

Has anyone heard of these apartments? Had a quick browse on web but can't see anything about them or find any reviews.
Anyone stayed there or know where they are in Icmeler? Trying to find out for a lady at work who is going to Icmeler for 1st time in June.

Thanks

Ekinci Palace Appartments

Yes they are in the old village. The little train/tractor used to go passed them, but now that has stopped they are a little isolated, although there are quite a lot of little bars/restaurants about. They looked very nice from the outside, but have not been inside. It depends on the age of your friend, but for an older or less mobile person,it is a long walk down to the beach, however a taxi would not cost an arm and a leg.Who knows, the train might be brought back into service.Does anyone know why it stopped

Because the young lad who worked on it fell under the wheels and was killed.

Hello Jula,
Have just spoken to a friend of mine and she tells me the dolmus goes passed these appartments now,so this will make it a lot easier to get down to the main resort if required

Thanks Eric,I had heard that but thought it might be a rumour. How tragic as they were all young boys working such long hours for probably a small wage

In Bulgaria they have a few of those little trains round the resort, had many a ride on them last year they seemed safe enough
