Benidorm was my first ever holiday abroad, so it was always my special place until I found Turkey 2006.

The only thing that I do miss from Benidorm, wherever you go abroad, is the entertainment. You really are spoiled for choice.

The Spaniards are nowhere near as friendly as the Turkish. But its mostly Brits in Benidorm anyway.

I have always said the service in Turkey is way ahead of the service in Spanish resorts.

I can honestly say the Turks are the nicest people I have ever met on any holiday. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

I'm going next friday, and I'm nothing like them. Infact I think benidorm can be quite common, but it was cheap and I need abit of sun...lol

Staying in the old Town though couldn't stay in the new town, went once years ago and hated it.

Benidorm

Postby babs » 17 Apr 2008 09:55

Hi - not contributed for yonks!

Benidorm is all things to all men - you can be as quiet as you like or as noisy.

We have had 2 fantastic holidays there over the years and although we do love Icmeler we are open to other places. In fact we are giving Turkey a miss this year and trying Skiathos for a change.

The Barbara mentioned above is Sexy Barbara by the way - that being my name I have many a photograph beside her posters.

I think that the programme does give a very bad impression of the place, although as many have said previously I have seen the majority of the characters on holiday in Icmeler and other places we have been unfortunately - I think if you haven't been - don't knock.

Will miss everyone this September - Diane, if you are reading this please give my regards to the usual crowd!
