We have only ever been B/B. Could anyone recommend me what would be useful to take. like food & drink ? Is it worth taking anything or just as convenient to go to Tansas ???? We would like to do all Inc'sive but enjoy eating out too much !

Hiya

Have been b/b,self catering and all inc once.

Too be honest we didnt take anything when we were self catering as all the little supermarkets/shops have all the bread, cheese etc.....if anything think we just took ryvita/crackers....about it really, everything else was on hand.
Plus like you say, enjoy eating out,its part of the holiday!

Hi Marks,
We go self catering now and love it. Some things that I have found useful to bring out with you are tea towels as they are not always supplied, scourer, sponge kitchen wipes & cling film, (I always overwrap suntan lotions, shampoo etc in this), pegs, I think that is about it :? All other things can be bought from Tansas. One other thing if you want fruit squash bring it with you as you cannot buy it in the supermarket.
We love going out to eat so many great places to choose from. I have spoken to quite a lot of people who have gone all inclusive and I have not had glowing reports from them.

Thanks Jean

I'm sure, if I took everything that you've mentioned I'd need an extra suitcase to carry everything in !
I wish we were as organised as you.. better still, let me know when you're next going and we'll book into the next apts to you..

We normally take some tinned meats and cheese to go with there lovely fresh bread at lunchtime. Then at night its out for a meal in all the great restaraunts. As most people say you can't beat self catering.

Mark

We always take a freezer bag with frozen bacon and sausages, ham, cheddar and beans (they are really dear out there) so we are sorted for breakfast and lunch (breakfasts are only £1 or so but tea and coffee are dearer).

No need to worry about taking cordial/squash - Tansas do a fab powder that you disslove in [bottled] water that's brilliant - it's sold in boxes with about 5 sachets in.

Ooooh nearly forgot - we always take some Yorkshire tea bags!!!

Hi Mark,

We also usually taken frozen pre-packed bacon and sauage in our suit case (well wrapped). Also tins of beans fit nicely inside shoes. Usually take the salt seller and some tea bags and coffee for in a morning. As Fanny says, most other things are reasonably priced at Tansas. In the run up to our holiday if I have got a half bottle of shampoo, toothpaste, shower gel ect I put it to oneside to take on holiday. That way we empty the bottles when we are away (or there is hardly anything in them) and throw them away. No need to bring them home = more room in the suitcase for my bargains. Have a great time. Hi Mark,

Marmite is on the top of my list (I know, you either love it or hate it!). I also take my own marmalade.
