BBQ boat trip and bars

Postby Jozzyd » 25 Mar 2008 18:20

Was just looking at the BBQ boat trip and wondered if it would be suitable for my 3 year old son who was born with ants in his pants and can't sit still! Also any info on bars/restaurants that would occupy him enough for us to eat a meal and even have an Effes or two!

Boat trip will be fine and every bar in Icmeler will keep the kids occupied as long as people are not taking the mick and just looking for baby sitters while they get legless

They love kids and they also want you to enjoy yourself and spend money in their bars as they are all on commission

Hi

Nearly all the bars provide entertaiment starting about 10.00pm once people have eaten

There are also a few were you can just go for a drink and chill out if you want to

Hi jozzyd,i go to icmeler every year.Three years ago i had my two 12 year old granddaughters with me.On the second last night me and the missus went out for a meal but the kids wanted to stay in hotel and help the barman. When we got back two hours later the kids were in their element. They said they had a great time and were even allowed to serve pints of EFFES and drinks to the customers so we thanked the barman He was happy because he was able to watch the football on the TV.The only problem was that the kids charged all the drinks to my room .It was,nt a lot of money so we had a good laugh about it.

like others have said, children are really welcome - such a refreshing change for staff to really be interested in the children and making sure they have a good time
am sure you'll have a ball

Hiya and welcome
The Venice Bar on the canal has a little childrens play area with a slide and ball pool and have tables near it so you can watch the entertainment and keep an eye on the kids!

Thanks again Eatock, my kids not easily scared lol. But need somewhere to keep them happy and let us have a bit of fun too! We spent a lot of time at Tommy's ( i think in the old town) because the food was good but main thing there was a small play area which the kids loved. They are only 3 and 6 so not too many late nights and that includes a nap in the afternoon. Too used to 7 o clock bedtime at home even though they were on the bar at 2am in the hotel dancing. Feel useless cos I don't know where half of these fab places are!!!!!!!!!!!!!
