Only been once (so far!) last October and loved it! Icmeler itself is beautiful and we found the Turkish people really friendly and helpful. The whole atmosphere really made our holiday and we can't wait to come back again this year!

It's a great place. I was jubious about going at first coz had heard mixed things about turkey before. But once I got there I can't imagine going anywhere else. I am going to benidorm in april and I know I will be comparing it to icmeler, not that there's an comparison. Going back to icmeler in june for 2 weeks.

I like everything about ICMELER except the price of imported drinks.I think that is why less people came to visit last year.Does anybody else agree with me? RON

I agree the imported drinks are very expensive but I usually drink their vodka and it tastes OK to me.
I feel selfish but I don't want too many people to go to Icmeler because I don't want it to become too commercialised and the people to be false.
It's such a lovely homely place and I don't want it to lose that quality.
I look forward to my holiday every year and often daydream at work, imagining I am lying on the beach in the warm sun, it keeps me going during the long winter months.
If I could afford to go twice per year I would, but no such luck :(

Icmeler

Postby Sue Pryer » 04 Mar 2008 20:07

All of that and more. I feel like the place has woven a magic spell over me! I have never been anywhere in my life quite like it, to make me want to return over and over again. :D :D

When you go back to Icmeler you feel you are visiting family with all the other good things thrown in. The wait to go back seems to be forever but your time there is gone in a blink

It sure has a spell on me, I just rant to everyone about it, when people ask me where they should go I tell them they must try icmeler, and they say I dont fancy turkey and I get really frustrated trying to explain how great it is and they still dont believe me. Got to try it to believe how great it is.

I'm totally hopeless aren't I John? Must walk round with my eyes shut! Either that or it's the grey cells dropping off along the way. That's just teasing about the boat trip too. I fly home on the 9th!! :( :( But hey ho there will be plenty of time when we come back in the summer.

When we returned a couple of years ago after having been a few years prior when we arrived at our apartments me and my mum just looked at each other and said this is why we always wanted to return, nothing in particular just the feeling you get when you arrive. Now have made others realised how lovely Icmeler is, even people who wouldn't have tried Turkey at all.
