Blue Rainbow Hotel

Postby Hoss » 14 Feb 2008 18:56

HI, I am new to the forum and this is my first posting. The boss and I (she is watching me type this) are thinking of going to Turkey this year for the first time and would like to visit Icmeler. As anybody stayed at the Blue Rainbow Hotel? If so what are your thoughts?
Thanks
Hoss

Welcome to the forum Hoss. I haven't stayed at the Blue Rainbow but I will say it looks very nice from the outside. Sure someone who has stayed there will be able to reply to you soon.

Hi Hoss. We stayed at the Blue Rainbow last year in June. The hotel is very nice with nice clean rooms which are cleaned and linen changed everyday. The staff are really friendly especially the young girl at the pool bar, the swimming pool is a nice size and the beach is very close. We really enjoyed our stay at the Blue Rainbow and i hope you do too. If you need anymore information please do not hesitate to ask.

Blue Rainbow Hotel

Postby jivebunnie0 » 14 Feb 2008 21:51

Hi to the Hosses

We've stayed at the Blue Rainbow on 3 occasions. Great hotel, but I would only recommend B & B....we saw some of the evening meal menus- ewwwww!
Breakfasts are fine, typically - olives, bread, cheese, meat, eggs, sometimes chips for those who cant do without, yoghurt, honey, jams and sweet rolls, cake.

We were remembered by the hotel, and on arrival, insubsequent years, we received a gift from them, thanking us for booking with them again. A nice touch.

Pool area is very sheltered, but gets verrrrrrrry hot also. Pool doesn't really have a shallow end, so beware if young children or non swimmers.

I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay.

Hi and welcome Hoss's
We've never stayed at the Blue Rainbow, but have seen great reviews for it, also it's very handy for beach as well as rest of the resort
Don't think you'll look back if you book Icmeler - like the rest of us, you'll wonder why you didn't go years ago ... am sure you'll be as hooked as the rest of us
Enjoy
xx

Blue Rainbow Hotel

Hi there Hoss - we stayed at the Blue Rainbow in May 2007 and are hoping to stay there this year again. We loved Icmeler so much we went back in October with some friends, who booked us all into the Fortuna Beach Hotel beside the Canal.
The Blue Rainbow hotel is very close to the beach with lovely views. The rooms are cleaned every day and it's lovely to come back to your room to find lovely little arrangements of flower petals on the bed. The public and pool areas are spotless. There are also nice shaded areas to sit outside. Only one small criticism - we found the bathroom a wee bit on the small side. We booked full board but would go bed/breakfast next time, as you are surrounded by really good restaurants - First Moon, Amor and Amalia are right beside the hotel. A short stroll takes you to the Canal area where you are spoilt for choice - great restaurants and entertainment. We haven't been up to the old village yet but are hoping to find our way there next time (hopefully in May). I'm sure once you visit Icmeler you will be a convert like the rest of us.

My wife and i stayed here in May 06, it was a lovely hotel, clean rooms and a fantasti pool area and bar. We had a good stay , there was a lot of noise early evenings but if your out till 12 then it wont affect u.V.ery central location 2mins to the beach. Stay B & B thou we were h/b and the food was dreadfull we ate out 10 nights out of the 14 we stayed there. This is an amazing resort and most of the food is good quality from most of the bars.
Try get a top floor room the views out to sea and over the bay are very special, i would go there again just for that !!!!

small bathrooms are good!! otherwise i'd waste far too much time in there when I should be out and about - even better when you've got a couple of teenage daughters and trainee teenager with you
In fact, Mr F would see small bathroom as a definite plus point

Stayed at the blue rainbow last May and have booked for this May too I agree with all the comments, it's in a great spot for the beach and everything else as well. The pool is lovely (but bear in mind the lack of shallow end) and if you are at the back of the hotel there is a great sea view. I found the hotel quiet too because bars have to turn music down at 12 anyway. There is a good sea view from the lift too!! Can't wait to be back :P

Hi Fanny - totally agree with you - how long do you spend in the bathroom anyway? I did say "one small criticism" and maybe if my hips were a bit smaller I wouldn't have a problem. Still - I'm working on them! I'm looking forward to being in Icmeler for a week hopefully from 19th May - just waiting for my son to get his leave agreed in work. Anyone else planning to be there around that time?
