Hi John

Looking at your photies makes me wish we were back there. Our room was in the pink block at New York New York Hotel. My hubby Derek had his photie took with those scantily dressed french ladies (he looked like a real dirty old man sitting there with a silly grin on his face!!!. We played at being rich and famous at The Wynne, had a small but very expensive glass of white wine in the terrace bar by the waterfall, we had to suffer an American bloke behind us bragging about his assets, by this I mean his large.... amounts of dosh and flash cars.

Been to the Wynn Polly to win our free buffets which we eat probably Saturday.

The day started with a nice gentle stroll from Planet Hollywood to Ellis Island Casino via Paris hotel, Ballys hotel, Paradise and Koval.

Chubbs was doing the usual moaning thing of I have stumps where my feet used to be and can we get a wheelchair for me but we got to Ellis Island in the end.

We all had coffess, Teas and juice, then along came our breakfasts of Steak, eggs, fried potatoes and toast which cost us the almighty price of £3.25p per person  and then we had a little gamble in the casino and left.

Another little stroll  to Caesars Palace where we had another gamble which is now becoming quiet funny.

We are getting some strange looks as we enter casino's as we all enjoy playing the same sort of machine and once it is spotted we all race to get on it first.

From Caesars we walked along into the Forum shops where we had a little mooch around and Chubbs looked for new feet for himself in the golf shop, I tried to buy a new battery for my laptop from the Sony shop but it was more expensive than it is in the UK so I left it.

From here into the Mirage hotel where again we raced around lookinglike four escaped lunatics looking for our favourite machine.

I actually spotted it on the other side of the casino and was that far away that when I eventually got there I was out of breath and after all the running it was a dollar version of it so we left it alone

From Mirage we crossed the road and hit the shop near to Carnival Court for a beer and a water then onto Oshea's where we had a ball playing video poker at the bar and copious amonts of beers and jack Daniels were demolished by us.

It was a day of good wins and also very near misses but we had a great time and Chubbs was doing his bit for Anglo American friendships by talking to anyone that would listen to him.

We watched am American drinking (or not drinking as far as we could see) called beer ping pong and were amazed at how the men playing could not drink.

There was a movie being made at Osheas which involved a big blonde woman and a little green leprechaun  and maybe we will be seen on screen with them so get your autographs now.

Left Osheas very late and watched Chubbs get into the lift (sorry elevator) or should I say getting poured into the lift as he was swimming with Jack Daniels

A couple of butties for me and Sharon at the Earl of Sandwich then off to bed ourselves.

This morning we have to check out of Planet Hollywood and head off over for the last 5 nights to Caesars Palace where I am sure we will enjoy ourselves a lot more.

Here are the photo's of the day from Thursday.

Here is our favourite slot machine

Pauline there has up to now been no shopping as I can't get Sharon away from the gambling

Had a great night tonight and Las Vegas was really buzzing and Caesars was full to bursting with people going to watch Celine Dion so we went across the road to Osheas to Gamble where Chubbs hit for $500 on the bar video poker and 5 minutes later I did the same right next door to him.

Nearly 4am here right now so time for bed but a few photo's to follow and there is a photo of a green stool just for Rami

Haha Zog you sussed us eh mate.

The last few days have been a bit of a blur as we have been staying out all day and then carrying on into thenight which I lay on Chubbs's doorstep.

Last night we went to see the Rat Pack show which as usual was amazing but this time because we couldn't get Sharon away from the slot machines we ran out of Caesars with about 20 minutes to curtain up.

Got to the front of Caesars and the queue for the taxis was at leats 30 minutes so we jumped into a limo which cost us $60 (nice one eh Sharon)

We got to the box office for the show and then realised that the tickets were in the hotel room (nice one Sharon) so the only way we could get in to see the show was to give $300 deposit which I will get back tonight when I take a taxi (nice one Sharon) back to the Greek Isles with the tickets.

The show as always was fantastic and we will have a few photo's to up when I get them from Chubbs but I can't seem to wake him up (more about that later)

Yesterday morning was Saturday brunch at Caesars where Chubbs had to wrestle with salmon and also crab legs................

Image

Large was forcibly dragged from the buffet otherwise we reckon she would have eaten her fingers

Image

I got fed up waiting for them to get off the slots and decided to go for a walk along the strip and take a few photo's

The following few pics and even video were taken with Chubbs's camera which was on the wrong setting so are not very good.

Now this the part of the evening when all sanity seemed to go out of the window.

This first short video clip will show you the kind of people that frequent the Greek Isles bar and Casino

Click on the video to watch.

Image

After a few more drinks in the casino Chubbs decided that he couldn't make a fool of himself singing as the locals were doing that so he had a go and was assisted by a then slightly inebriated Sharon.

Image

He then dedicated the next one to me

Image

While we were at the Greek Isles Sharon and Vicky were jumping about on the dance floor like a pair of loons they attracted a few people over to our table and in the end it was like little Britain (not the show) in our corner with a couple from London and another couple from Liverpool joining us along with a Norwegian couple who were from the way they were acting we reckoned they were retired 70's porn stars.

he reminded me of Lionel Blair the way he was dancing (if you could call it that) around the room and at one stage he was giving the glad eye to Vicky and then turned his attentions to Chubbs

We left the locals at the Greek Isles shouting for more as we went off into the night to have a few drinks at Oshea's where we have now been adopted as locals by the staff Cathy, John, Ray and Santo who keep giving us lots of free shots to try to make us very drunk as they cannot understand how we can drink so many different spirits and keep awake.

There was one poor young man of 25 years last night who was trying to make us drink one of his concoctions as he thought it would affect us hahaha no way Jose we said but seeing we drank one of his specials we then made him drink one of John the barmans choices on the understanding that we had to go first.

Chubbs necked his then I necked mine and it was strong but we stood tall, then young blood drank his and I watched his face turn a funny colour and I duly moved well away from him as he brought the lot back up and all over the floor and also over the poker machines on the bar

Anyway they kicked him out as he couldn't stand up so his girlfriend took him back to his room at Caesars Palace and 10 minutes later she was back in the bar calling us all the names under the sun as she reckoned it was our fault that he had now been kicked out of the hotel for using the casino wall as a toilet and also for wrecking their room.

Moral of the story is not to try to drink with the big boys  when they are in Vegas.

I hope you all enjoyed todays installment and we are now just about to take Chubbs and Large over to the Bellagio to have a mooch around the casino and of course to get some video footage of the famous fountains for you all, and of course we will have a few drinks at Oshea's

I am a class singer, that video does not do me justice as any one of my MANY fans will tell you.

As John has already informed you, we had had several beveridges of the alcoholic type, i dont blame this for my performance at all, coz i'm usually off the map to get up on the karaoke.

I blame the equipment and the room acoustics!

Not much to report about yesterday (well no gambling anyway)

We jumped cab and went to the outlet mall near to the airport where the usual clothing and boots were bought by Sharon and I got a nice zoom lens for my camera but not much cheaper than the UK as it seems Canon put their own price to it.

I was thinking about getting a cheaper make but thought I would go for the original and afaiac it is great.

We then nipped over to Frys Electronics where I got a new battery for the laptop and a few other bits which I have been told not to put on here in case my kids look in

Last night we decided to eat at the Rosewood Grille down the side of Walgreens and behind Fatburger on the strip and the service and food was fantastic.

We were looked after by Simone Hajji a man from Morrocan descen and a nicer gent you would have to go far to meet.

He kept us entertained with his life stories while we were waiting for courses and me and Chubbs had Manhattan fish soup to start then the mains were Fillet Mignon for the girls, I had a cut of steak with a bone in and Chubbs went for the Prime Rib.

I thought that the prime rib I had in the Prime Rib Loft last year in the Orleans was the biggest piece of meat I had ever seen but the one that Chubbs had should have come with a Sherpa and climbing equipment.

We couldn't eat anywhere near to half of our meals as we aren't really big eaters but we really enjoyed what we did eat.

We are really sorry that we never went into this place last week as there is also a bar on the other side of the restaurant which looked very good also.

If anyone is going over for the fight then I would suggest this place to you for the ambience and at about £30 per persdon with drinks and sides for what we got we thought was very good.

Anyway photo of the prime rib to follow and we are just off shopping again to the other mall for more stuff.

It was not a steak, it was a joint of meat, sunday roast, hog roast, whatever you call it, it was not a steak, it weighed more than a small family car.

And before anyone says it, no i didnt finish it, but vicky's mouth was watering at the thought of having a bite. :P

Yesterday was a free dinner for us at Wynn for signing up for their players card.

Top food was eaten and tons of crab legs had again.

I love prime rib beef here in America but when it is in the buffet it is that bloody it looks like it has just been shot so a no no for me.

We went off to Circus Circus, Riviera and Slots O Fun after that for a few hours then back to Oshea's where the tables and video poker were not very good so we all decided to head back to Caesars.

Chubbs and Large headed off to bed after a while as the days and nights are now catching up to us all but me and Sharon decided to have a few drinks and play the slots for a while.

A while turned out to be after 4 am as we got talking to a couple of Brits and just chilled out for a bit while supping our Jack Daniels.

We said our goodbyes to the lads from Burnley and I left Sharon on the slots and tried the $1 video poker and after being down by about $150 held a pair of aces only for its 2 friends and a 3 kicker drop in for $2000.

Just off to pick the dosh up now at the cage and then head off to Macys where Sharon will spend it

Well thats the end of Vegas for us folks and we hope you all enjoyed reading about it.

We are currently in the airport waiting for our flight to Chicago to connect with our flight onto Manchester.

There are a few pics of the room we had as Caesars, a view or two from the room and a few night shots of the Bellagio fountains to follow.

Sad that its all over for another year

p.s Sharon won on the last night but never said anything so after buying all gifts and whatever we have got $1,600 already stashed now for next years trip
