Hey im back!!

Postby Pauline » 18 Sep 2007 21:15

Hi Icmeler lovers im back! thought i would let you all know what a wonderful holiday we had.

Arrived at the Elif hotel at around 4.45am so we didnt bother going to bed we sat by the pool with a bottle of water soaking up the atmosphere ready for our two weeks in paradise...bliss!

The weather was hot just how we like it so it was on the loungers to sunbathe, all the guys at the hotel were happy to see us again and made us very very welcome throughout the whole time. No hassle at all in fact we spent a lot of time with them all, and always had a drink with them before going out to dinner.

Did Turkish night both weeks at the Elif, fabulous food and entertainment of course we had to try a fishbowl so that Ilyas could do his cocktail trick ...yummy!!!!

We had full English breakfast for a pound most mornings at different places which lasted us the rest of the day till evening dinner.

Places we eat ...let me think
Love Boat as usual my favourite, the food is just wonderful and of course the uniforms are the icing on the cake
Chef next door eat there twice, lovely food lovely people.
Champayne our first time there the chicken sizzle was gorgeous!
Dream 3 bells opposite the lion bar... lovely meal and very friendly.
Harrys ... first time there too was lovely.
Florida had a lovely breakfast ...try it!
Hobgoblin bar .... fantastic!!! you must all try it. Our first time there (dont know why?) anyway the food was really gorgeous they do set meals then you get a free breakfast the next day which was also scrummy!! Messi the owner makes everyone so welcome, we sang ...(cough) as they have kareoke as well as dancing ... music ....atmosphere the lads were great you can see they all enjoy themselves. Its on the left if walking up to the champions bar.
Majestic for breakfast ... the best!
Venice ... entertainment brilliant.

Wherever there was music thats where we went after dinner we danced sooo much. We visited Eastenders a couple of times as our feet just didnt want to stop dancing

Popped to say hi to Sharon and Tracy was lovely to see them again, getting all excited for the baby.

Walked the bay as usual but not everyday  our last day i went alone sat and had a water looking out to sea and the beach for a while i sat and cried as i was leaving Icmeler once again till next year. It gets more difficult each time i go to say goodbye to friends old and new, and a little more of my heart gets left behind  im sure you all understand.

Saw Alan from the forum at the Elif and people we had met last year who had returned. Its strange that once you have visited beautiful Icmeler how it somehow grabs you back! i don't mind as it will always have a HUGE place in my heart.

Its back to reality now, work ...cooking ....cleaning.....Yawn!!!! any room in anyones case please?

Thanx a million to ICR for all they do, your all fab! the transfers were perfect. Will be ringing soon for 2008 prices

Happy holidays to you all going soon

Hi Pauline

Thanks for your review, it sounds fanatastic. I am going to Icmeler for the first time on Monday, going for 2 weeks. I usually go to Marmaris, but had a meal in the Red Lion in Icmeler in May this year, which I enjoyed.

I have taken a note of all your places and intend to visit most if not all of them.

Any directions you could give me would be an added bonus.

Thanks again,

Mary
