Do you think

14 Sep 2007 16:14

£900 spending money for a couple will be enough for the week?

14 Sep 2007 16:24

I would think so brian!
However I suppose it depends on what you intend to do whilst on holiday!?!
Thta will cover all your needs to say the least. But if you wish to go shopping, items can be just as expensive as at home.

I reckon that will more than be enough, again depends on what you do but on occasion we've (me and my mum) have taken not much more than that for 2wks and always had a fantastic time spending it all - infact sometimes come home with some (not often though)

have a fab time :)

That's about how much we take (me & wife) and we always go self catering. We do however, take an emergency fund of about £250 should we tend to overspend a little... Now we're all guilty of that I'm sure

i will take £2,000 just in case..as i am a big spender
thinking of buying lots of stuff back :)

Stomp

You'll be taking a spare suitcase then ! Most of ours (99%) is spent on beer, we do however bring a bag of sweets home for when we return to work !!!!!!

15 Sep 2007 06:27

Haha i laughed there at the 2000 malarky. I would have taken more but i just found out i may not have a job when i come back as we have lost a big contract. So i need to be careful

15 Sep 2007 07:25

3 of us last week spent around 1000 but that was drinks and food all day and night and we did drink some at night me and daughter on cocktails and hubby only drinks imported vodka so more expensive. Clothes not that cheap now but hubby bought quite a few but be careful on weight Dalaman was charging everyone yesterday, I saw what was going on so as hubby had no hand luggage I took some out of a case and put in carrier as hand luggage but we were still over and it was 6 per kilo had to pay 42.

15 Sep 2007 14:00

i hope to bring back lots of clothes back...

15 Sep 2007 19:14

They may sell you the market for that price stomp

15 Sep 2007 20:12

We spent(2 of us) £1100 when i was there a few weeks ago, was B&B in hotel but often didn't make breakfast :o Went on 1 boat trip and a trip over to Marmaris and didn't really bring much back at all. That was for a fortnight's holiday btw.

15 Sep 2007 20:19

We are b&b to. but i dont know what the turkish breakfast will be like

15 Sep 2007 20:24

:( :( No lotto win so the sum of £900 is still there

15 Sep 2007 20:33

Turkish brekkies are nice Brian.

Cheese, olives, ham, cucumber, tomatoes (all the things you want at brekkie) also boiled eggs and bread, jam, honey, cereal, tea coffee etc

I'm sure your £900 will be plenty :D I split mine into days and then what I don't spend I add to the next day :D

15 Sep 2007 20:48

Its a good job we are B&B so breakfast is included,so that's money saved.

Diane :D

15 Sep 2007 20:55

Breakkie sounds nice collete. Thats what i might do have £100 for each day and add it to the next day if theres anything left over. And ive got my £500 for the engagement ring. :D :D

16 Sep 2007 09:00

HOW MUCH !! :D Good luck with the engagement, I'm sure you'll get something really special for that much..

16 Sep 2007 09:10

£500 mate. Will i get a decent one for that? Or do you think that aint enough?

16 Sep 2007 09:18

That's loads, you'll get a real special one for that amount... Hope you both have a real special day..I'd have a good look round though, there are some really nice jewellery shops in Icmeler..

16 Sep 2007 09:21
