Well it wasn't me, :!: I don't go till September!I'm actually not a scouser anyway. :D Were they doing anything in particular that made you notice them, lol,I know they can be a teeny bit LOUD :!: at times.
Funny, even in September Icmeler has a lot of scousers, and Jersey is full of them :!: :!: I go to Jersey alot, but walking round St,Helier, you would think you were inLiverpool city center, lol. No gettin away from it all for me :!: :!:

Nothing in particular, but being a scouser myself (living in Essex) I really noticed it everywhere I went.
(My brother was in Jersey at the same time!!)
One particularly horrible guy in the market said that my daughter was like a German or Liverpool person!! spoke terrible, not beautiful English - and she hasn't got an accent. That was because I wouldn't buy a pair of shoes 2 sizes too small and she rescued me!!. The other Turks on the stall told us to take no notice of him 'cos he was mental!! :P

I think you are right there Karemolinos, about you noticing them cos you are a scouser yourself.my son in law,who is a Geordie, thinks Jersey is full of them(geordies),whereas my daughter and myself think its full of scousers.hahaha
Ah,well,as long as the scousers in Icmeler didn't let the side down by being a pain in some way.
Hopin to buy lots of shoes this year, hope i don't come across the phsyco at the market.hahah

Personaly i'd rather have Icmeler full of scousers than full of the rude germans it seems to be attracting each year !!!!!!!!!!!!

Scousers

Postby guest » 26 Aug 2005 00:30

Hi all
Yes I think the scousers get noticed more because of the accent, just like the Scottish. Jersey is a mixture of all this and more, us jocks call it the Channel Highlands. Just goes to show what good taste we have Jersey and Icmeler

Hello,I couldn't agree more with you,Jersey and Icmeler are 2 of my favourite places on earth, along with Wester Australia and Mayrhofen in Austria. All are stunningly beautiful, with lovely people.

Heyyyyyyy Debi
Slightly off topic (well OK REALLY off topic  ) but there seem to be probs with PMs

Knew you had good taste lovin Icmeler, but how spooky  my parents rave about Mayerhofen and have just come back. Bet we'd have an interesting chinwag if we all got together   It's have to be on middle ground though ...... cos we fancy Mayerhofen about as much as they'd enjoy Icmeler
