Back from Paradise

Postby ochlynda » 18 Jul 2007 17:03

Yet another wonderful holiday. Icmeler just gets better and better every year. This year we arrived in Dalaman airport to blistering heat high 40's,
apparently they were having a heatwave.Arrived at the Alvaro and met up with all our friend's. Janet the angel that she is had a large ice cold efe's waiting on us and so the holiday had begun.
Every day the first week it just got hotter and hotter Wednesday was supposed to be the hottest day ever recorded. The Efes factory must have been on overtime that week not that I'm complaining mind you.
We went to all the old favourite restaurants and a few new ones The Lighthouse excellent as usual,The Moonlight great food, Pop Inn really good value and fab food.Pedro looked after us really well and even came on the boat trip we organised ourselves but that's another story.Noel's great food and entertainment (Hi to all the guy's),Heat and Breeze food was first class. We took Gene's advice this year and had a few night's in the Amor great entertainment they do a very funny version of Grease, and the holiday wouldn't be complete for my daughter Niamh without a visit or two to Dreamboys.Other places we went to were The Red lion great night with our friend Gogo,The Waterfall and the new restaurant Think it's called The New Moon opposite the Dream the food in here is excellent well worth a visit and yes Bec's we visited The 3 Bell's also.
At the end of the first week more friends had arrived so we decided to organise our own boat trip.Hubby did this, 44 very happy and need I say drunk holiday makers. This was great as we had the boat to ourselves entertainment was supplied by our own Mr Mischief (photo's to follow) everyone said it was the best day of the holiday so looks like he is going to have a job every year, but at least it kept him out of trouble.
This year we decided to sample the beach a day and again we took Gene's advice and had lunch in the Erdem Cafe great value and lovely cold Efe's The younger one's in the party done some jet skiing and thought it was very good value. We also did a day at the waterpark and all kids big and small said they enjoyed it.
All to soon our trip to paradise was over and it was time to say goodbye to everyone.Just as well we have booked again to go next year.
To everyone who is going to paradise in the next few months have a fab holiday I know we did.

We were just one big family out there Lynda.

Photo's to follow very soon. Especially the BOAT trip!!!!!! Wow what a day!

Was great seeing everyone again. Must mention about the excess baggage on our return journey. We got stung with My Travel (scaretours). There was a couple who had to pay for being 2kg's over. Kinda leaves a bitter taste but we love icmeler too much.
