As usual I took too much and have come back with clothes and accessories I didn't wear. It seems more casual this year - most people going out in shorts and vest tops - the last few years people seemed to be dressing for an evening out but not so this year.

In future, I'd buy sun lotions in resort - it's as cheap unless you get a buy 1 get 1 free offer in the UK. I'd also avoid all the stuff in the emergency kit - none of it would be enough for an emergency and I could get plasters, painkillers and the like there if needed.

Shoes - I could take only 2 pairs of flipflops and survive - heaven knows why I end up with 7! The same goes for bags.

I saw a woman at the airport wearing 10 layers of clothes - noticed this bcause she beeped when scanned and had the embarrassinig experience of having to take off her layers. She'd obviously packed too much or bought too much. Either way, leave room in your suitcase for both events!

i agree!
lots n lots n lots of clothes! i'm a bit un-nerved bout the fact that people seem to be more casual during the evenings, because i HAVE to dress up in the evenings, because its so casual through the day so i like a change, and i have to take my heels with me!
always take a mp3 player for the beach, my shades, a book, my straightners!! cant leave without those. etc :) yes im your typical teenager.

You see David that was your problem.
Ann and I share the same type of underwear.
I have trouble with the basques, and the tight fitting brasiers.
But everything else matches and over the fortnight holiday we just mix and match.
I do have trouble though with the 15 denier nylons unless I wax my legs I have no chance of getting them on without laddering.

Me too - that was hilarious. Mind you Gene - you should really wax those legs and put plenty of after sun on - you don't need nylons in that heat. If I was you, I'd ditched the nylons and invest in a pair of spanx! (ask the wife!). ha ha

for pity sake the last thing that man needs is beauty tips.this is a man who can still draw a straight line down the back of his legs with an eyebrow pencil.
