me personally i would avoid them like the plague. Infact give me the plague and day than flying with these. They delayed us 21 hours in september and didnt put us up in a hotel, as they kept delaying the time we were flying. If you ask me its a tinpot airline  , but mine might just might have been a bad experience, hope this helps

Hi Wayne,

We flew with them last year from Manchester, on time there and back. However they only have three 757 aircraft so if one has a problem can caused alot of delay, due to no replacements being available. Like a stay we were on time but not always the case.

Wayne we flew with them in June and we had no delay's going or coming back, in fact we landed early going in.
The only down side we felt was there was no in flight entertainment and as we had not been informed, I had packed the books and cards etc, so I had a Mr Grumpy at the side of me, for a while powdie :)

We are flying on 20th July 0700 hrs from Manchester with Flyjet, anyone else on this flight and not received their tickets yet? I rang them yesterday and they said we should get our tickets in the next 2 days, but I have been reading about cancellations - have tried to call them again this morning and cant get through.

Hi Yorkshire Rose

We are on the 7am flight, 20th July and have not received tickets yet. Phoned them this morning and was told they'd been posted end of June! Said they would arrange for us to pick up tickets at airport but that's just more messing around. My daughter is on the same flight and she received hers last week.

Well, at least I know the flight is actually going! been reading on HT about cancellations, and also been reading reivews about Flyjet, and they arent very good, although we flew with them last year and found them to be ok. Im a nervous flyer as it is, and hate to read bad reports, as it sets my nerves jangling!. I know, If I didnt do my research i would be none the wiser!!.

We flew with them when we were in Turkey two weeks ago and to be honest they're not that bad. We were pretty much on time going out and coming home, however my fiance's grandparents who were on holiday with us for just a week were delayed on their return trip however it was just for 3 hours and in the end they flew home on a mytravel plane.

The aircraft is pretty old and there's not a lot of room in the seats, if you're above about 5ft 8 then it'll be a bit of a tight squeeze. Also there was no in flight entertainment as someone else has also stated.

On the whole though it wasn't too bad and considering that it was just a cheap holiday then i suppose the quality was what you would expect.

i have to say we used them in june last year and had no delays, but septembers 21hr delay was just stupid also they didn't have any staff in manchester airport it was manchester handling that dealt with us. I wouldnt mind but the flight in september was not that cheap. Anyway good luck i hope u get off on time

We fly out on 20th July at 18.00 from Manchester with Flyjet and we've still not got our tickets, my dad phoned up yesterday and he said they told him they will re-issue them and post them out again and we just get them in a few days, no idea where the 1st set of tickets got to.

We are also flying on the 18:00 on the 20th for Dalaman, rang XL Monday and was told, don't worry we have a backlog if you haven't got them 3 days before you go ring back.

I rang again yesterday and was told the tickets were sent out in June, these must have got lost so I could have a set by email (You must print them in colour) or pick them up at the airport on the day of departure, chose the email method as I don't want to stand in the desk queue before the checkin desk queue.

Email arrived this morning, tickets printed off and ready to go.

Originally booked a flight on an XL plane at about 21:00, this was cancelled and was moved to fly jet, made sure I got my group seating money back from XL as this is a free service with FlyJet by emailing their customer service team direct.

Scousebabe might see you on the plane

elkie, the countdown for me has started!! Have looked on Manchester Departures and the flight has departed on time!!.

This time next week we will be over half way there and wondering why we were worrying in the first place. Thats what I do, panic myself into a frenzy and then once up there (I hate takeoff), and the stewards start moving around etc, I feel ok.

One thing I was wondering, we are FJE864 and 865 - I have looked on the Flyjet website and any flight with a V after is classed as a value flight with no meals provided and you have to buy what you want, now I know it sounds thick, but does that mean we have meals included, since we dont have a 'V' after our flight number?? Not that im bothered either way, just wondering, and cant be bothered to try to get through to XL again to check.

Hi Yorkshire Rose

That's odd! Our flight number DOES have a V after it! We booked with XL as well, am trying to contact them to ask for tickets by email as Dave did. At least we won't have to mess around next Friday.
I'm like you about the take-off (the landing as well), but once up there I'm ok. Then it's the dreaded run to Icmeler - always ready for an Efes or two (and the rest) by the time we get there.

Seven sleeps and counting!!

Hi Elkie,

I am just going by the departures info on Manchester Airport's website, ours says FJE864 and 865, but the 1800 hrs one has the V after it. Well, this time next week we will know!.

With regards to the Tickets, hopefully ours will come tomorrow as I think there may be a postal strike today, if they havent come in the morning I am going to ring them again and ask to have them emailed. I dont know why they dont do this anyway, as a few friends I have been talking to have said they havent had tickets for years, always get an E-ticket.

I hate take off as I said, but the landing I really enjoy, because I know thats it, and I can manage to look out of the window.

We arent going to Icmeler this year, we fancied a change so are going to Hisaronu, only 1 hr transfer which will be nice! Cant wait for my first efes!

Hi Yorkshire Rose

Yes, this time next week we'll know if we have to pay for food or not! Who cares anyway? All I'm bothered about is that they get me there and back safely!
Enjoy Hisaronu, be sure to let us all know what you think of it compared to Icmeler.

Elkie,

I will let you know for sure. I will miss Icmeler as we have been there for the last 3 years but it will be nice to see somewhere new, and by all account Olu Deniz is breathtaking.

You are right, I dont really care about the food either cos I have trouble eating what with the nerves and everything just want to get there safe and sound this time next week we will be 40 minutes away (how sad am I??!!) drive my husband crackers
