Special Restaurants

Postby LOOPYLOU » 28 Jun 2007 07:35

Morning all,

Can anyone recommend a really special restaurant that we can go to when we are in Icmeler? Its our honeymoon and we would like to have something that little bit more special than the usual. We love the usual restaurants dont get me wrong especially Friends in the centre! :D

Thanks

Louise

If you fancy a really lovely meal and restaurant and want to go into marmaris one night the Pineapple is gorgoeus. It would be great for a honeymoon special meal. Also ICr do a evening meal at the Riverside by the river and the Love boat is nice as well. But for a really lovely special meal my choice would be the Pineapple

Hi Loopylou

I would say the Love Boat as well. It really is nice - think it also maybe something to do with the waiters dressed in their crisp white officers uniforms.

If you are wanting a romantic meal it is ideal, as it is just a restaurant (ie. it does not turn into a fun pub afterwards) and only plays background music - including the theme tune from the "Love Boat" - cheesy I know - ha ha

Hi Loopylou
I agree with Gene, Mario's is a fantasic setting. We went last year but unfortunately I was very ill that night and all the following day. It's not put me off going though, will go again this year but will stick to pizza! Not the most romantic food but it is Italian!

I would also reccoment the Love Boat! My wife and I had our anniversary meal there this year. It was the first time we had been into it and it was absolutely delicious!

Almost a different class of restaurant to the rest of Icmeler! Almost!

I personally wouldnt be seen dead in The Love Boat! Its got to be the most tacky looking place in Icmeler...and expensive too. Pop next door to Chef Restaurant and have the 'Honeymoon Meat Feast' meal, Elvis and co will look after you!

Nice one Erik,
I agree 100% ,the Loveboat is one of the better places but to me the place is rather clinical & over priced.
The Chef is much better alround, the staff in particular Sadat ( Elvis ), Rejep ( Reggie ) & Serhat the frontman will give the service & attention that will make you return time after time.Book your table by lunch time & tell them its a special occasion & you will not be dissapointed.

Hi Looplou,
It has to be Marios, we had a great meal there in April, and it has a flood lit waterfall built into the moutain at the back of the restaurant, if you go in and ask you can have a table set out on the moutain with the waterfall behind it, very romantic, and the view across the bay is stuning.

I would go for the Lighthouse or the Chef, both restaurants will make your evening very special and if you want a cake or anything they will more more than happy to oblige!

hi loopylou
i can honestly say which ever restaurant you choose you wont be dissapppointed 99% of them all you would go back the only problem being usually you only have 14 days to try different ones and a lot of people find a few they really like and stick to them,i know we do we tend to go to the chef & bonjour quite a bit
but you wont be dissappointed i am sure

cheers dodge
