What other resorts in Turkey are as good as Icmeler?

Postby goldfish » 25 Jun 2007 16:35

Returned from Icmeler a couple of weeks ago, stayed at the Alvaro and was the best holiday ever! Would love to go back last week in August but unfortunately all booked up and do not want to stay anywhere else, although we have booked for next year.
Am looking at other resorts in Turkey that may be good, although probably not as good as it will have to live up to so much! Looked at Altinkum, but looks a bit brash compared to Icmeler. My kids are aged 3 and 9, and loved the pool and waterslides at the Alvaro, but mainly the friendliness of everyone. Is the any other hotels or resorts that people can recommend that may be nice, do not want to quiet and not sure if we want A/I as loved going out at nights and watching the dancing etc. in the bars. Would appreciate any advice!

Why go to another resort, try this hotel it has a big slide and childrens area,They do have apartments if thats what you prefer maybe ICR could arrange these which are just accross the road from the hotel.

Hi, I have been to Bodrum, Gumbet. Side & Marmaris...but none of them touch the warm friendly atmosphere of Icmeler.

we stayed at the selen 2 last year and that would be a good place to stay with kids.decent slide and pool, pool table and nice and lively.the rooms were alright aswell although very small.
been to gumbet and kusadasi in the past and loved them both.but that was before we went icmeler.

We went to Hisaronu last June, and although it is very beautiful, scenic and a really lovely place, we missed Icmeler so much. So after 3 days we packed our bags and got a taxi to Icmeler and paid for another hotel.

Why try the rest when you've had the best ?

Whatever you decide to do, I hope you have a great time.

I've been to Gumbet, i wouldn't go back.

I've been to Alanya it was nice enough but wouldn't rush back.

Been to Altinkum loads of times loved the place but haven't been for a few years.

And this will be my first time in Icmeler so will tell you when i get back what i think!! I get the feeling i am going to love it though.
