Re-chargeable batteries

Could anyone advise me please? I have a digital camera and use re chargeable batteries. Would I be able to use the same charger I use in the UK, in Turkey, if I plug in the adaptor first?
I thought you had to buy a special charger for abroad but my husband seems to think we can use the same one.
Any info would be greatly appreciated

Hi Skilly

You will be able to recharge them, it sometimes takes a bit longer because of the voltage.

Yes, we used our charger last year. Try and take a spare set so you can put them on to charge overnight if necessary.

Yes you can charge up you batteries ok, i have a camcorder, digital camera, and an ipod for music and all of these charge up ok overnight,but i agree with Sue it always pays to have a spare set, and of course you need the apropriot adaptor.
