What do you not like about Icmeler

Postby smc4761 » 17 Jun 2007 14:28

Lisanige did a review recently on her first impression of Icmeler and some people took umbridge at some of her comments. Whilst the report was her opinion and some disagree I think some of her comments were valid. Whilst Icmeler is fab for most people what if anything do you not like.

For me a few things,

The constant hassle, not so much from bars but jewellers, barbers and not being able to browse in shops

The entertainment, the guys do put a great deal of effort in, but it can be very repetitive. Michael Jackson show, come on a guy miming and dancing to and Michael is so eighties/nineties

The street where The Dream is, there are about 3/4 bars/restaurants having a competition to see who can play the loudest music

The good stuff however far outweighs the bad and thats why I keep going back

Anyone else have any opinions

Waiting for the coach/taxi to collect you and take you to the airport.

Then you are on your way home. I hate that bit.

That awful moment when you have to choose which one of the great restaurants you are going to eat in that night. Aah

Icmeler,
I have no regrets.
No dislikes.
Moments have come and gone.
There is only one place.

Looking foreword to our holidays in August.

People like Lisanige slagging off a place that they have only seen once in their lives and hopefully will never ever go back. Not even given it a chance and writing a review like they have been traveling in Turkey all of their lives apart from all of the other countries they have supposed to have been, as if!!!!

I am all for posting your dislikes etc but please lets not turn this into a thread about other members, We are all entitled to opinions on Icmeler, and thats all they are is opinions. No one is ever right or wrong,

So back to any dislikes :D

I am still thinking, I dislike the beach, wish it was more sandy and spaced out more with the sunbeds :D

OK point taken, sorry about the moan. But the hotel they stayed in was the Alinda, and whilst we got on with it because it was a cheap last minute thing, they couldn't cope with it and I think it tinged their opinion somewhat. I will now shut up and stop going on about it.

I hate that I always get picked up late on a Monday night so whilst out and about in town during the day/evening, I have to watch the coaches dropping people off for the start of their holiday!!

I dislike everyone leaving me on my own here by the 31st of October and expecting me to fix the web cam everytime it goes off...

:) :) :) hahahahahaha

I dislike Tracy and Sharon asking me if I want to have coffee with them in Icmeler when everywhere is closed up so we end up sitting in the office and having coffee...

I dislike Tracy and Sharon leaving me here on my own in mid November as well....

I dislike even not having any customer complaints during the winter. I think they hold onto it all winter long and spit it out when they see me... :) :) honestly it does not happen much...

I dislike that guy *whoever it was* who stabbed my car tire the other day!!! some must not like nice people like us over here... oh well...

Last but not least, I dislike having to talk about dislikes about icmeler.... I love this city! :) and it is great to see how strong many of you feel about your 2nd home. Along with this topic, there will be few more that will get printed out and delivered to our council here with all the goods and the bads...

Thank you.
