Aha!! so this is why Friends was shut on Saturday night! I did find it strange considering there was a coach full of people sat outside it and decided to have a go on the Camel instead!
To be honest I dont know what the hassle had been like over the past couple of years, but this year it just seemed the same as whenever I have been there, just some good natured banter with a whole load of "Hello Nice Couple"'s as we walked past!
But on reading this thread I just realised that yes, no-one is ever out on the street! It still doesnt stop you being hassled by the shop owners, and the underground market is a nightmare if there is no-one else in it with you!
And again, a big big well done to Metropol for their complete no hassle idea, I ended up buying quite alot in there which I had seen cheaper elsewhere purely for the fact that I was allowed to browse with freedom!
It does seem like the council have went over the top though closing places!
